Dreadful weather here like January and I must put the heating on. My nuisance calls stopped abruptly two or three weeks ago even though I did not stop them deliberately for fear of losing genuine ones. Have a nice day everyone. :D

Morning all :D

Started off bright and sunny here, but it's looking a bit overcast right now. Fingers crossed it stays dry while Mr.J is out getting the papers.

Expect there'll be a lot about the egg thrower on BGT last night. What a stupid woman (looked like she was one of the musicians on stage) and very unfair on the two guys singing. Well done them for not letting it spoil their song and well done on coming third. We thought it was a really good show and the final result was spot on. I actually preferred Attractions previous two performances, they made me cry, but last nights was perfect for the final.

We signed up for the preference service some years ago and don't seem to get many nuisance calls these days. Mind you it's a complete waste of their time as we always have the answer machine on and only pick up when we're expecting a call or recognise the voice.

Those cakes look good Poll, hope the birthday party goes well.

Hope you all have a good day :D

What a horrid start to the day Kathy - I know we can't do that much about cold callers, but still; the least they could do is figure out where they are calling and work on the right time zones.

Ally, Happy Birthday to your MIL - hope she has a nice day and also happy Birthday to Amy Poll, hope she has a fab party :D

It's a miserable start to the day here - grey and really windy and not very warm. According to the forecast it's meant to warm up later today but I'm not holding my breath. I know we had a nice warm week, but still I really could do with summer arriving and actually staying.

Having a lazy day today; I was out Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night and all of yesterday so now I'm having a much needed day at home. Slept in until 11 (bliss :D ) and now just pottering about

Have a lovely day everyone

Morning all - it's gorgeous here! Sunny and very warm! :D Billy and I have just had a lovely walk, John's out on his bike, Tom's revising and Joe's still in bed.

It's Cosford Air Show today so we might see some planes go over when it starts, no doubt there'll be a lot of sunburnt faces around tomorrow - you can always tell who's been to Cosford when it's been held on a sunny day!

Poll, those cakes are great - inspired by you I found someone on EBay who does Green Day toppers so there's my birthday cake sorted
I hope Amy has a lovely party and I can't wait to see photos :D Is it her birthday today?

Just about to put a loaf in the oven and then start dinner, I'm making a sausage plait today. It's quick when I'm not sure what time John's back.

Have a good day everyone!

Thanks all, the cakes were a huge success :) and I also bought a larger cake topper similar for her big cake that a friend made, she LOVED it!!

Her actual birthday isn't until Tuesday but party was today, she has had a great time, I shall go and upload some pics on the other board ;)

The sun is shining and we all sat in the garden after the party, my mum, dad, sis and her kids came over - her husband has gone to work, fab day!

Jo, glad to hear you found Green Day cake toppers, ebay is great!
