I am up early

Postby kathy22 » 09 Jun 2013, 06:01

Because of the telephone ringing at 4.30 in the morning. I have a telephone in my bedroom and as soon as I looked at the screen at showed INTERNATIONAL. Wish they would leave us in peace, so tired of avoiding phone calls bombarding me with help in PPI, Accident claims etc. They never seem to end.

Morning :)

Ooh how infuriating Kathy! You can Saundra and online, it's called telephone preferences. Unfortunately it doesn't apply to oversees, that's why we still get them. I have had some success with telling them - several times - to remove us from their list, it seems to stop them for a while.

Cloudy here too but quite a lot of blue sky. We still have really strong winds, making it feel a bit nippy. I was up nice and early so could have gone to the big car boot sale but the site is very open and breezy at the best of times, in this wind it wouldn't be a pleasant outing!
Think we're going out today, we've decided to get the barbecue anyway since it's a good deal, and we'll need shopping - and birdseed, they're cross with us, the feeder's nearly empty :D
Hope everyone has a good day

Good morning everybody.
Another beautiful day here. It has been chilly in the night as there is dew on the grass I have been out for the paper and couild see the sun glistening on the drops on the grass.
We still get phone calls mainly from overseas about PPI or my computer having a fault. Just put the phone down.

We got one of those phone calls the other night, at 1am. They even said hello Geoff, as he answered, then it sounded like a dead line so hubby hung up. 3 days later we realised it was a friend from the USA phoning via Skype (which diverts to our landline)

Missey has had earache today so she stayed at home with hubby with I took Oliver over to mums to celebrate both my brother and my nanas birthday. We've had a lovely time there, and have had lunch leftovers for dinner.
Everything happens for a reason

Good morning everyone :) Kathy what a horrible start to the day - Di is right though, overseas calls can't be blocked by the preference option   Try leaving it off the hook when you've answered, so it costs them money!!! ;)

It's a lovely bright morning here, but not as cloudless as yesterday - I expect it will burn off later though :) Just a lazy Sunday here - a roast lunch to cook later and a bit of a potter............

Have a nice day everyone :) xxx

morning everyone :)

Oh not a good start to your day Di :( I have started ignoring my phone when it displays 'out of area'.

Well, I have been up early today also, its my girls birthday party today, so had some cakes to sort, I bought rice paper toppers for cupcakes on ebay and bought cupcakes from asda yesterday so had to get them onto the cakes - had a slight panic reading the instructions last night as they made out it might be very difficult to remove the toppers from the backing paper - worked a treat though and they look great, will put a pic on ;) Then I got my ironing done, dusted around and now to hoover once I have had my coffee!

A friend baked a cake for Amy for a very small price compared to what I could be charged, so she is dropping that off and going to put the personalised topper on that I bought - again on ebay ;) Then off to my sisters who is going to do Amy's hair for her party!

Hope you all have a good day, I will no doubt post some photo's later on to share with you all!
