LOL Ally!!

I've just had another look and still nothing...it's not even as though his room is messy and it might be under a pile of clothes or whatever :? I don't think the stress of the exam is helping though as this is DT, a subject where they've had to fit 2 academic years' course work into 8 months.

What a shame Di, vouchers usually last quite a while don't they :?

The band's called Emily's Army, the drummer is Billie Joe Armstrong's son so there are links to Green Day, they have a really great sound and are playing a tiny venue in Birmingham next month, tickets were only something silly like £5 so I thought we'd got nothing to lose and having heard the new album it promises to be a great show!

Aw ((((((((((((((((((Jo)))))))))))))))))))))))) "Displacement" hun, he is worried sick about this tricky exam (two years work in eight months? Yikes!) so has had a major strop about something else - he will have been ok in the exam, the strop will have let off some of the anxiety - and you know the phone will be around somewhere, for it to have woken him this morning! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Di that is rotten - why don't you try an email to their customer services saying how disappointed you are, and that it doesn't say anything on the card itself about a time limit? They might just issue you with a new one for goodwill - worth a try ;)

I have had a busy busy day  Lots of ironing this morning that really couldn't be ignored any longer  My new washer is fantastic! I did a load and spun it, and it was on the line in under an hour 8-) :D :D Then hoovering and cleaning, then a trip into town to drop yesterday's takings into Elaine (da boss) then to the nail place to get my broken nail fixed, then to Sainsbury's to pick up a few bits for Doreen who gets back from her week in Jersey tonight. Then walked up to hers, put the groceries away, put the flowers I bought her in the vase, opened the windows to air the place, then went to water the garden..................oh my word, what a struggle I had with her hosepipe! Couldn't for the life of me work out how to work the nozzle on the end of it (  ) so in the end I did all the borders and pots in that huuuge garden with the watering can!  Then made myself a well-deserved cuppa and sat and enjoyed the tranquility for ten minutes. Walked home after that - and guess what? It looks like rain :P

Harry and Mick should be home soon - lasagne in the oven and salad waiting in the fridge 8-) :D

I will try, but it's being kept till Monday. They're open on Sunday so we could go then - and not sure I'd get a reply over the weekend, but you never know :?

Just a quick update - the phone was under his bed, he's got heaps of school work under there which he's using for revising. I'd had the mattress off to look underneath, in case it had slipped down the side of the bed, because I didn't want to disturb it all in case I got it all mixed up. When he came home from school I told him all of that and suggested that he took everything from underneath his bed to see if it was there (while I drank the iced peach lemonade he'd bought me from Costa as way of an apology, bless him). He came back and said he had and it wasn't there.
When John came home from work, his fresh set of eyes looked around the house and couldn't see it so he asked Tom if it was okay if he pulled all of the schoolwork from under his bed. It was in amongst some papers and books he'd had out for revising. So it ended well.
