It just provoked your grumpy head WM ;)

For what it's worth Aggers, I don't think it's necessarily for people who have a lot of time on their hands, some of the busiest people I know use it (chefs running their own restaurants certainly don't have any spare time!).
But that I think is part of the appeal for them, it takes but a minute to communicate.
Several of the restaurants I've seen will put a note on if they have a late cancellation for instance, telling people they can have a special deal if they have the table. There would be no other way they could do that, and a lost table is a lot of money :)
Just one example, but I'm sure there are many more.

I'm cyber stalking you now Ally.

We don't do much do we!!

I had a request from some random person to follow me - I don't understand that. Why would anyone want to follow/cyber stalk anyone that they don't know who isn't famous!

I've started stalking Ally too - love the one and only comment she made that was to Eammon Holmes

Deb, I have absolutely no idea why people do that!

Osc, can you not 'block' Mr Random and his ilk, or just not add them when they want to follow you, like Facebook? I have had 'friend' requests from unknown Mr Randoms but just don't add them unless I know then from real life or another message board....... :?

See, I've always been a Twit but never Tweeted............... :P

I don't need to block anyone.... I'm not a twit and I don't tweet. ;) :P :P :P

I once thought that I was being followed, but every time I stopped and looked around there was nobody to be seen. It was only when I got home that I realised I had a twig stuck in the laces of my shoe. :D :D :D

LOL I did that once Frank. It was when we lived in a flat and I'd finished work early one day, got the bus to the nearest town and had to walk the rest of the way. Now I could either stay on the footpaths by a main road or take a short cut through some woods. The short cut won. As I walked through the quiet woods, I started to hear footsteps behind me. When I stopped so did they. I was too scared to look around so started to run, the footsteps sped up too. Terrified I was!!! Eventually I got to the estate where we lived, onto the street and safety and looked around and there was no one there.
I discovered it was my sandwich box in my backpack which must've been banging against something with every step I took, probably against the handle of my umbrella    I hadn't heard it before as I'd been listening to my Walkman but had stopped when I went through the woods so I could be more aware
