A lovely, sunny but slightly cloudy morning, so the jeans have gone back in the wardrobe

Loz, hope all goes well at the hospital and hope you have a fantastic week-end, boogying away.

Off down to the village later, then the ironing calls - with my new steam iron Not had one before, so no doubt will make a mess of things

Daughter is off to Padstow for a weeks hol, so fingers crossed they get some decent weather.

I'm back from my errands; it was absolutely hammering down, I got drenched despite my rainjacket, can feel the bottoms of my jeans are all soaked
However. It's stopped now It's a bit breezy but does look like the worst of it's cleared

Ton it's meant to be ok till at least Tuesday but they said they're not sure after that

It's raining here too, not heavily but rain nonetheless Shame as mother's CH are holding a BBQ for the residents this lunch time. Poor Freddie the chef will be outside, hopefully under makeshift cover, while everyone else clusters in the conservatory and the staff run backwards and forwards with the food and getting wet.

Lots of washing for me today. The main bathroom is full of mother's winter wardrobe waiting to be washed and put away for a few months. Need to polish her winter shoes before putting them away too.

I agree with Saundra, why can't it rain overnight. Like Di I was running around watering the pots yesterday evening.

Good afternoon everyone! It's warm and sunny here without a cloud.

Di, we treated ourselves to a new barbecue last year and we changed the weather by doing that too Hope it improves so that you can try it out.

I'm well and truly fed up! I was having a lovely, lovely morning. Youtube has been added to the gym equipment so I managed to watch a Green Day documentry in full with no interruptions, unlike at home, whilst on the treadmill. I came home and took Billy for a lovely long walk and realised as I walked along that I was smiling - nothing like a bit of good weather to lift the mood. I came home and made a lovely lunch for Tom and myself before he went into school for an exam.
And then the bomb dropped.
He went to get changed into his uniform, 5 minutes before he was due to leave. He came downstairs and asked if I'd seen his iPhone. I said I'd call it so we could find it. Silence, it went straight to voicemail. I've run up and down the two flights of stairs several times looking in various rooms to no avail while he was looking in his room. I've looked all around his room. We've had all of the sofa cushions off. Still nothing. He reckons he used it first thing as he'd got the alarm set and I was telling John who said he'd heard an alarm going in his room.
It was at this point that he accused me of moving it and forgetting where I'd put it. I walked away and went to make myself a coffee. I kept telling him to leave it and go to school and look with fresh eyes when he gets home so he then came and accused me of not helping.
So he's gone running late to an exam in a terrible state of mind.

After a lovely start I'm now SO wound up.
I'm listening to a new album by a young band we're going to see next month - it's flippin' good stuff, so hopefully that'll help my mood.

Unfortunately it's not an age where 'just leave it and have a think later' will work, is it? They act first and don't even think later...a relief that he used it this morning though

As for the barbecue, errr, we're not getting it. That gift card apparently expired in December I'm sure I inspected the card and couldn't see anything; the woman told Bb there would have been a letter with the date on. Obviously I should have kept that as well as the card then
It's a bit short, isn't it? Tesco vouchers and those 'love to shop' ones are valid for ages and ages.
It's not as if we hadn't tried to spend the damned thing, but every time we thought of something it was either out of stock or they just didn't have what we wanted
It doesn't really matter but am temporarily peeved

Oh and Bb's had a phone call from the boys' mother and that's not often good news - will wait and see, he'll phone her when he's in.
