Snap!! We lived in Shepherds Bush just off Holland Road (used to call it West Ken, sounded posher ) and we lived there earlier in the '70s, so I'm even older but yes, Notting Hill was pretty grotty!

We love London although I would hate to live there now - still need a visit there every few years though

We lived just off Ealing Broadway but worked in the big DHSS building in Acton

I couldn't live or work there now - my niece does and loves it, but then she's young
