Debih - a good school governor should make sure that Ofsted inspectors are attacked by a mob of sturdy villagers armed with pitchforks and staves! ;)
A beautiful day here too, there is grass to be cut and washing to hang out. :)

Morning all :)
Beautiful here too, and isn't it lovely to know we have a whole week of it :D

Washing's out, h-word to do, garden pottering to do. Bb's out working but is local later so will be here for lunch. Bit of a disaster as the battery on the scales has died and on these fast days ever gram counts so I hope he remembers to get one :)
Last night's barbeque was a real treat in the end, thanks to Tesco reducing a pack of lamb steaks to 74p  :D
Barbequed lamb is definitely one of my favourite foods in the whole world :D

Happy birthdays to Ally's son and Lissi's granddaughter, have a good trip Ton, and everyone enjoy the lovely day :)

Afternoon everybody.
Had a power cut this morning. Looked at clock just before six a.m and no problem. Next time I looked there was a blank screen. So got up and rang Electric Northwest, who are the company responsible for the distribution system. Got a recorded message to say that the fault was being repaired and the power should be on by 9.30 a.m. Then got a phone call asking if we had any problems with the power being dis-connected. It was restored an hour later. Over 2000 houses were affected.
Been shopping. Had to wait nearly half an hour for a bus back home. Normally they are every 10 minutes.
Debih, Does James like his new home and is he behaving correctly?

evening :)

Work (placement) for me today, bit gutted as I missed Amy's sports day, 1st time I have missed anything like that - but my mum went and got a photo to show me, and we have both survived me not being there! lol lol ;)

Popped to a card shop after work without Amy and got her a huge badge to wear for her birthday next week :) and then checked the job website and my dream job is being advertised so I have applied - already applied for about 6 other jobs, but this one, I really want - wish me luck! (doubt il get it but got to try)

Amy is going on her school trip tomorrow, to a Castle so is very excited!

Happy Birthday to all those celebrating today :) :)

Oh yes, loads of luck Poll!!!!! {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Good luck}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Di I saw the piccy of your lamb steaks and salad on FB, they looked wonderful 8-) :D

Cruiser, glad you got your power back :)

Well I've had a nice day, walking to town and the Docks, doing a bit of food shopping then walking home - hopefully walking off the naughty-but-nice pannini I had for my lunch  :P When I got home Mick knocked off work early so we sat in the garden chatting for a bit - he's working this evening though, doing some proxy changes or something

My washing machine has finally given up the ghost - it is leaking badly again and this time Mick can't fix it, plus the rubber door lining is rotting away - but I've ordered a new Beko for delivery on Wednesday so that's ok...............Oh and I've sorted my regular days for my new job - Tuesdays and Thursdays which is ideal for me! :D :D 8-)

Good luck Poll :)

It was yummy Kaz :)
Do you remember that £25 Argos gift card I got from buying the fridge/freezer? I still have it, so we decided to treat ourselves to a decent barbeque. Bb's collecting this one on Friday:
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Search/se ... 452772.htm

Last year I said I'd like one but we didn't get the weather, I think we only had one barbeque! The one we have is very small and basic, and the weekend reminded us we need a lot more food now for those boys :D
I didn't want a very big one as usually it would still be just for us, but am looking forward to having one with a lid :D

Shame about the washing machine, I remember when I said ours was playing up you said the same then. Good thing it's coming so quickly, especially with this lovely drying weather :)
