Back from hospital

Postby lissie » 01 Jun 2013, 12:37

I have had my eyes examined and have drops in now so it
is difficult to see to type at the moment :(
The consultant agrees that both eyes need doing and asked
me to choose which one i wanted first.
I have been given my appointment and i could`nt believe it
when she said 15th June at 1pm.
I asked how long it would take and she said about 15-30 mins
under local anaesthetic :o
After about 2 hours you can go home :o :o
This is progress the receptionist said and you can drive as soon
as you think you are able to safely.
This is a private hospital but i am going under NHS.
Also it is on a Saturday so it makes it easier for family to take me
and pick me up :D

Wonderful news. :D :D :D
When I went earlier thisyear to have my eyes tested I was told I had a small cataract on one eye. Told it could be several years before I need an operation. Have needed glasses to read and on my PC for several years.

Wonderful Lissie :D 8-) Fantastic that you can be done so quickly :D

It's so quick and easy now compared to how it was when my dad had his done twenty years ago - that involved two days in hospital  xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Lissie, not so good about the cataracts, but excellent news that your treatment can begin in two weeks. xxx
