Mias fur looks rough

Postby miasmum » 28 May 2013, 17:43

Mia's fur looks, well clumpy is the only way I can describe it. Instead of being smooth and silky it is sort of clumpy and wooly looking. She looked like that when she was really poorly, but then she wasn't eating, her third eyelid was up, she was hot, lethargic and obviously poorly.

She is purring, playing, eating, in fact fine, apart from her fur. I really don't want to incur more vets bills, nor stress her with going.

What do you think?

In all honesty Shell it could be all sorts of things. Personally I'd suspect that it's the (very late) time of year and she needs a hand with her grooming. I know my cats are shedding their winter fur loads later than normal and what is making matters worse for them is that most of use still have our heating on, which really dries out things.

Give her a good 15 minute groom every day and see if you notice an improvement. If not get something like this http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/supp ... tes/231461 to see if that works

If she's still eating, drinking, pee'ing and poo'ing as per normal then try the above first and see how you go, but obviously if she's not behaving as per normal I'd get her to a vet for a check up

the usual fusses to your two
