I spend a LOT of time on my own MM  I usually can find things to do and only rarely feel bored, I hope you have things to do now :)

In fine weather I am usually jobbing about in the garden or go for a long walk....if it's less nice then I go to town or something in the car, even if only to have a coffee and a read of a paper in the cafe :) Sometimes I do housework (!!!) in my free time and other times I do a spot of sewing, alterations mainly, or play on the pc, or watch a DVD or something off our planner, or read a book, do a crossword puzzle, bake a cake.....

I know I'm strange but I often prefer my own company to being with others ;)

During the day, for the last couple of years, it has been similar for me Gal. I have always managed to fill my days somehow - pottering, shopping, housework, reading, laptop - but now I'm back to work two days per week and I will definitely have lots to catch up on, on my days off :)

I also like my own company and can easily spend a day alone without feeling bored or lonely :)

I had forgotten it was a BH today and booked a meeting with my European colleagues. But it did mean I could get up a tad later.

Then I did some shopping, bought a Three One sim card (£25 for unlimited internet with tethering to a laptop), then I bought an £18 Nokia phone at Argos to take my Global roaming sim which I have given the number to a few people for.

I fell asleep this afternoon then got up and caught up on my reading of the whole cryosphere happenings for the last week and did a bit of deep searching of the news.

Now I'm heading out on the bike to see if Tesco's really did open for today and if they did, if they are open and I can do some shoping. Given that the Sainsburys in the shopping centre over the road from the hotel is more like a family shop than a supermarket.

Then I guess I'll watch some Film 4 and head for bed....

I've always spent a lot of time alone too, and can feel a bit hemmed in if there's too much company for too long, although I love it in short bursts :)
Today was quite busy, but not with anything major or exciting. I got some washing done and dried, managed to properly clean some of the kitchen, tidied up the bed in the front garden (out of control forget-me-nots), weeded some of the paving in the back garden, perused, chose and ordered a pair of sandals and crops, made a nice dinner...very mundane but that's how a lot of days are.
The weather wasn't nice enough to tempt us to go out, or it could have been quite different. And of course we're used to planning where to go for a lovely long walk with Minnie, which we can't do at the moment :?

I wish I had gone for a walk now, it was sunny but quite cold. Should have put my cardi on and gone walking.

I have two days off a week, Tues and Fri and I love them. I usually see a few people, do a few errands, but also spend time at home. I love my own company too, but I think it was having Tim here working so hard made me feel guilty for doing nothing.

Like you Di, I find being with people constantly very wearing. I find it hard going to stay with people and having to spend a whole day in someone else's company. Likewise the thought of having people to stay, so we have never done it, not in 29 years of marriage. Anti social, us????? Yep

Having the other person there, if they're otherwise engaged, is definitely off-putting somehow. It shouldn't be but it is :?

That's me too, I've got no qualms whatsoever about spending time alone :)

What have I been doing...Saturday I visited my sister and went out shopping with her and while I wasn't looking forward to it I actually had a really lovely time. Sunday morning I went to the gym, did some cooking and baking when I got home and in the afternoon we went to a garden centre for some evergreen shrubs for in our side garden. Today we've been garden centre-ing again. We bought some bags of stones for in the back garden, we widened the borders and filled them with the stones. Oh, and at lunchtime we put some sausages on the barbecue and then this evening we got an Indian takeaway.

Poll, I would've been on the floor needing medical assistance myself if I had to deal with a wound, especially a big one  I'm a proper wuss

Shell, I hate staying at other people's houses...and hate the thought of having people here to stay. We never should've got a sofa bed because while we have that we've got a bed for visitors  John's fine with both though :?
Me, anti social? Oh definitely :P

Same.....it's quite comforting really to know other people feel like this  I also have 2 days off a week MM, although mine are Thursday and Friday, and I love being alone in the house on those days....not always possible atm if Jen isn't at work on either of those days :|
