The wait-for-me kitten

Postby Weka » 22 May 2013, 04:21

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone happen to have the children's book "the wait-for-me kitten"? It's a little goldern book, and my copy is missing the last 2 pages, and my two little ones would really love to know how the story ends.

When the other kittens make a mess the little kitten helps Mrs Dog clean the mess up.

Little kitten earns a special reward so the other kittens learn not to be so impatient and to be more helpful. :D

I hope this is the right story..it's been many years since I read to my babies. ;)

That's it! That's the one! Our last page is the littlest kitten asking the other kittens to help mrs dog, then we make up the last or the story together. Today's ending curtesy of Oliver was the littlest kitten put the muddy clothes on then jumped in muddy puddles to clean them.

I'd really love to get my hands on another copy then photocopy the last 2 pages and tape them into the book. I should actually check out the library, but I doubt they would have it.

Wow, that's the same cover as mine too. But golly, that's a lot of money for it. Yes the shipping is way more than the book. Good to know another bookstore other than amazon that delivers to little ol'NZ.

Thanks Lissie! That one is getting closer to home, so that's $15 + $10 shipping to me in NZ. For $25 here, I could almost get a brand new book. Hmm..... There's a car boot sale in a couple of weekends, I wonder what my luck would be?

I told Sasha what the ending was, and said how about we write our own ending based on what Ally said, then we can draw our own pictures. She wasn't too keen. Kids aye?
