Decapitation in London.

What a shocking piece of breaking news.

There are lots of things that I would like to say about it, but I dare not.

Free speech is no longer allowed in England.

But you can guess what I am thinking, can't you?

Yes Aggers, and a lot of other people will be thinking exactly the same.
This has the potential to spark off race riots.

The fact that COBRA has been convened and the PM is cutting his European tour short indicates that the authorities are taking this very seriously.

It is also worth noting that the 24hr news channels are going out of their way to let us know that the killers are Muslims. I wonder why that might be?

They were black Muslims, not Arab or Asian :? There was a guy shown on the news mouthing off at the camera just after the attack, just before the police marksmen shot them, and he was black.............

Truly horrific, that poor man and his poor family :(

It is truly horrific, and I am agreeing with all that Agenoria is thinking, but the most suprising thing is this involvement of COBRA. Is it an over-reaction by a weak Government that wants to look as if it has command of the situation and is doing something, or do they know something more sinister?

OMG. I have been out all day and not heard or seen any news.

How absolutely horrific.

My thoughts go out to that poor man and his family.

This is reminiscent of the Irish troubles - but with a big difference.

I joined the RAF in 1970, not the height of the troubles. But during my time all military establishments were hardened - razor wire, gate checks, armed guards.

Now it has gone neighbourhood - and they cannot be hardened. The rules have changed, and that is a big worry.

7/7 was a group plot against the State, the infrastructure and the people. The UK could afford to put all its resources into apprehending that group. This new development, where a small cell with no previous and flying below the radar, is a lot more problematic. Our security services cannot possibly know when and where the next attack will occur, or who will carry it out.

They are among us, yet we know not who they are.

Horrific... I must say that the fact they stood there waiting for the police showed just how radical they were... I have been impressed with the leader of the Islamic Committee openly condemning these men and a number of others in the news who have and are raising their heads above the parapet.. The good amongst their communities must feel as horrified as we do at this barbaric attack.
