Afternoon all, been up for ages, but not had the laptop on for long. Just booked tickets to go to the Autumn dance in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom in October, always nice to have something to look forward to. Mr.Osc has gone to play golf and I'm heading off for the shower, after which I absolutely have to tackle the ironing before it takes over the kitchen entirely  We're going away for a few days on Thursday, so there might be shirts there that himself needs.......

We had a fab day in Miss Osc's yesterday, although her hubby rang to ask if we could go there a bit early as she wasn't too well and he was off out for a lads day and evening out - she seems to have had some kind of tummy bug but although we did go early, she had it fairly well under control and we had lots of nice time sitting out in the glorious sunshine (got a bit sunburned on my shoulders  ). That's the great thing about her living so near now, we were able to walk to her house and be there within 15 minutes. We were celebrating my sister's birthday, and Michael enjoyed her getting her presents and had helped his mummy make the birthday cake.

No sunshine here today :( although that might be as well, as I might then be able to procrastinate with the ironing....again..... Have a good day everyone :)

Good afternoon all, it's a dull one here today. I've got washing out on the line but I'm keeping a close eye on it as there're showers, along with hail and thunder, forecast for this afternoon
I've been to the gym and taken Billy for a long walk, just waiting to see if the washing dries so I can get that ironed and the house needs hoovering too so I've got a fun-packed afternoon ahead of me :P

Have a good day everyone!

Afternoon everbody :)
I was up and out early, as Bb didn't need to leave till 12. The clothes shops here are so busy at the weekends, it was nice to be able to actually get into a fitting room and not be aware of 5 people waiting for me to come out! There's sure to be some nice weather sometime isn't there?
After going through my summer clothes there were a few gaps to fill and I did really well at Store 21, which seems to have improved its ideas this year :) I even got a dress for only £9.99, and a couple of nice tops and t-shirts, so a successful little trip :)

Glad B managed it in the end Kaz, it's not something I'd have thought about as I was so used to getting the train or bus to places on my own but it must be a bit daunting if you're not used to it.
Ton it's hard to believe it's still that miserable in Portugal isn't it
Happy birthday to Loz's baby :)
Pleased some of you had some nice weather over the weekend, maybe we'll all get another turn one day soon :)

Di she is very very used to catching buses alone, but it was the first time she'd caught trains alone................ :) She'll be fine next time, it's all good practise for when she goes to uni ;) Gad you had a successful shopping trip - I bought a couple of basic striped tee shirts in the Cheltenham Primark after my dental appt and new shorts and tees for Harry in M&S :)

Oh and the sun disappeared and it went cloudy, but at least it hasn't rained, so my washing was dry when I got home 8-)

hello all :)

Thank you all for the lovely welcome :)

Monday again....I had a rubbish sleep last night, lots going on in my mind, and today have been working very hard and feeling quite proud of myself.......I am in my last ever placement as a student nurse, doing my placement in the community with District Nurses and today was given some patients to go and see myself  :? nervewracking, but I managed :D

It has been very clammy today, think the radio said around 20degrees but it has been cloudy and we had amber weather warnings :( Collected Amy from my parents and it started chucking it down with rain!

So that was my day, we have just eaten

Kaz, glad B got home ok, and im sure she will be fine the next time :) xx

Glad your placement went well today Poll, will you be assigned your own patients to visit every day now?

I heard 20C mentioned for our weather today, in the Midlands, but it's been nowhere near that. It was supposed to brighten up for a time around lunch with showers, hail and thunder this afternoon - none of that happened either  although the sun has just this minute briefly shown itself

Glad it all worked out okay for B in the end Kaz! :D

Thanks Jo, I think they are hoping I can have my own caseload, but depends what needs done, as I can't do medication alone, I have a patient for the next 2 days but the next day they need a registered nurse to do meds.

So, I am meeting my mentor 1st in the morning and going around with her, I do all the work and she supervises me ;) I really do love community nursing :)
