Denmark the winners - why? What made them so much better besides the fact that they actually may be able to host it next year?

Personally my favourites were Finland (wedding song) or Malta (the doctor guy)....

Like you I have no idea why or how Denmark won, yes the song was ok but not that outstanding.....thought Greece had it in the bag with the 'Free alcohol' LOL although they'd never have been able to host next year if they won

I wonder why they don't use someone like, for example, One Direction as our entry - they are very 'now', young and well loved by the young ones, they would have the distinct advantage over the OAPs they are sending atm

Especially when you see the young talent (in more ways than one) the other countries enter

I preferred it when we got to choose the singer/song.... sort of BGT/X-Factor.

At least it was "our" song and "our" act performing for "us" and not a menu of songs chosen by professionals and experts for "their" star to sing.
