Wouldn't it be more apt to call it Graham's camp? ;)

My brother and and SIL arrived in the UK in 2000 and Nadine and I haven't missed a year of it since.... if we cannot watch together we spend a fortune texting or calling each other; and generally more for the commentating rather than the songs

As for this year:

Romania: really??????????????????????????????
UK: oh dear - but at least we didn't end on nil points
Greece: what was that one about

Denmark the winners - why? What made them so much better besides the fact that they actually may be able to host it next year? :D

Personally my favourites were Finland (wedding song) or Malta (the doctor guy)....

We liked Malta, but we loved Hungary. Personally I also liked Italy

I have no idea why Ireland scored as low as they did :? :?

The Irish song was good, or so I thought! I couldn't believe it when I read just now that it had come bottom.

That contest gets crazier every year.

I think we should just stop bothering, or hold a competition for complete unknowns, who write their own song - or have we already done that? :?
Can't understand the thinking behind first Englebert and then Bonnie :?

No! I didn't watch except for five minutes when I accidentally switched over and the votes were being cast. I quickly lost the will to live and changed channels.

It's not everyone's choice - certainly not mine.

I used to watch it years ago, but it's not my scene now.

We watched recording we had made of Portillo's railway journeys.

Fascinated stuff.

I used to watch and enjoy it till Wogan started, then it went downhill. I found his "banter", and especially his remarks about other countries and their contestants, patronising and sometimes insulting. Now I see Norton, carrying on in the same vein.

It does not go down well in Europe and I am sure it has hurt us a lot more than the political voting.

Just my 2p worth. :P :P :P
