Morning all - its raining here. Again.

Quite in the house this morning. Mick has gone to work, S has gone out in her cadet gear to rattle tins in town and L is baking brownies. I am not doing much and am not yet dressed. I really ought to be getting on with the painting of the dining room but as the first job has to be the ceiling I can't muster much enthusiasm.

Off out later with L to town to the farmers market, the library and to find out about ear piercing (for L. She can't have it done yet though as she has one last school swimming lesson on Monday). Then on to my mum and dads to drop L off and make sure that S has made it to their house - they are staying there tonight.

We are off out to a friends 50th bash in a local pub tonight. It should be great fun as there will be loads of people from the village there.

The only downside is that the friend who is 50 is in a "band" (I say that very loosely - they only play at friends do's and occasionally in the pub). They are pretty dire. No, they are completely dire. T (who's do it is) plays bass and is pretty good. W plays lead guitar and looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights each time and never moves and L, plays drums (very badly) and screeches her way through their repotoire (sp) of about 6 songs. We have had to listen to these same, very badly played songs, at every do that has gone off in the village for the past god knows however many years. I will probably go to the pub across the road when they start to play.

Grim grey and drizzly here atm. Dropping Mrs C and daughter off at the railway station at 12.00, they're off to see the Full Monty in Leeds, the little divils.
This means I have the remote to myself and it's MotoGP qualifying on this afternoon! Yee and if I may say so, Ha!
This evening will involve red wine and a trip to the naughty step for anyone who says "Do you want to watch Eurovision?"

Well I've done me bits and bobs and now I'm going to go out for a walk - with my new daps :D

My trainers are still a bit tight, so my new bright red daps will have to do

Grumpy is staying in and I'll go for a good hard walk :D

We've had the mother of all rain over the past 12 hours.....torrential doesn't begin to cover it Think it's heading west so you're in for it soon Osc :( Seems to have stopped or at least eased for now......pond has reappeared in the garden again and I can see where the 'river' feeding it is trickling away under the fence and on to the main road....*sigh*...think tomorrow has to be nicer though, at least it's not forecast rain again

Was at work this morning although nothing much happening there....fully booked but 2 no-shows and only one dispense all morning  I think the weather put people off :?

Hope you all have good Saturdays :D
