Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 08 Jul 2025, 05:56

Good morning.

Dial still on 40°. Yesterday was unbelievably hot!

Swim this morning then I need to get a few bits from town. That'll be done as soon as the shops open.

Going over to Jacob and Inma's for a couple of hours at 5pm. :D

We'll stop in at Gambrinus for a cold beer and dinner. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

It was lovely and cool at 6.00 :D but by 7.00 it was quite warm, now it's hot  36C for us.

Watering done, wasps nest disposed of and Grumpy is painting and sorting the pool out. On-going work, when it's this hot, for weeks on end.

I'll get the ironing out of the way, once I've had my coffee.

Need to sort out a few bits and bobs, re car keys and pensions.

Fish cakes for dinner, with salad.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Aly, JanB and anybody else who is up.

Only 19C this morning. The sun is out but there are a few clouds. There is still a breeze which is keeping it cool.

Will be making a phone call about my car insurance. I have tried torenew it online but there seems to be a problem.

Am going to Lytham today. I don't know if it is a l;ate lunch or an early afternoon tea. It is the Pensioners Club of the firm I used to work for. There is a group of 20
meeting in Lytham Old Hall at 2.00 p.m.

Have a good day everybody

Morning all! The sun’s peeking through the clouds, it’s breezy and still quite cool, it was around 10° when I walked George.

He didn’t want to walk far today, he just wanted to sniff

Another day of waiting around, UPS were supposed to deliver a parcel yesterday but didn’t update the tracker to say if it was out for delivery or not until 5pm when it changed to say there was a delay. It now says out for delivery though.

A load of washing has been done, that out on the line now so I’ll iron that later.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all, it’s dull and chilly here. Edward has gone to play golf, I had to drop him up there as the bus didn’t come. I got lots of washing dry yesterday, so I’ll iron that today. Also need to get prescriptions, plus wrap and post a 50th birthday present to my nephew’s wife. I’ve only met her twice but every Christmas she sends my sister and me lovely calendars and a small gift. He was estranged from his father (my brother) for many years but she has always tried to keep channels open and when my brother was ill a few months ago, my nephew visited him in hospital and they are slowly finding a way to get on. No doubt some tennis will be watched this afternoon! I felt so sorry for Dimitrov yesterday but Sinner was so concerned about him, it was nice to see that he was nearly embarrassed getting the walkover.

Good afternoon.
I'm glad that you are seeing small improvements Saundra.
Has George met any squirrels yet jo?
Watch out for the T-Rex Jen!
We had a downpour last night and a hosepipe ban come Friday.
A lovely day here, sunny and warm.
We need a couple of bits, I'll go to Lidl later.
Have a great day everyone.

Dinner sounds good Saundra, glad you’re getting around a bit x

Oh goodness yes Crommers, and rabbits, foxes and deer. And with him having no recall and confined to a lead it means I also have to run after them

Evening everyone :)

It's been another sunny day here. Mick and I went out for breakfast, then round to see D. Home then, and I did the ironing while Mick went for his GP appointment. He's had a cough for weeks, the doc seems to think it's reflux causing the cough, and has started him on omeprazole, but
she's sending him for an x-ray just to be sure.

Enjoy your evening everyone :) xx
