Good morning.

Hot!

We're going over to Jacob and Inma's for breakfast. :D

A few bits to get on the way home before flopping into the pool.

Friday beers and tapas tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Rather warm already and only 37C later 8-)

Do you have a pool in the new house Ally or will it be the sea for the daily swim.

Watering done and fed all the new plants.

Woken up at 2.30, by cats fighting  so legged it outside / in all me glory, just a pair of flip flops  / didn-t want to hurt my feet on the gravel ;) Met Molly under La Diva and she followed me in, rather slowly. She couldn-t decide which room to go into, decided she didn-t want any food and is now still asleep on her bed.

Then I couldn-t sleep, just lying listening to next doors dog  I-ll see what happens tonight and it might well be a phone call during the early hours.

Just having a coffee, then the ironing will be done. Might try and get some cleaning done before it gets too hot.

Steve is coming up sometime, to sort out the new gubbins he put in the loo, as it is leaking.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Morning all, sun and cloud here but it is pretty warm already. Edward has gone to play golf and I have mobility class later. This evening we are going to a dance social in Carlow, it’s ages since we were at any kind of social! It is almost 90 minutes drive away but we decided not to stay the night as it ends at 10.30 so we will just come home. We will go early and have something to eat before the dance. It’ll be good to see our friends. Miss Osc and family are having a lovely time in Portugal, it’s pretty hot. Kellie doesn’t “do” heat so she is probably spending most of her time in the shade or the pool. This is the same place where Michael played in the Kids World Golf tournament as a very tiny 6-year old nine years ago. SIL sent a comparison photo, I’ll pop it on the Photo board later.

I renewed my driving licence online last night, and was delighted to find that it is free once you are over 70! Some little benefit from being older ;)

Morning all, it’s already too hot.

George didn’t want to walk far today, nothing to do with the heat but he saw a rabbit yesterday, which WE had to chase (he’s not trusted off lead yet so if he runs then so do I ), and he needed to explore that area more throroughly today

Just waiting for the Tesco delivery now, for what it’s worth. It looks like they’re having their annual freezer and fridge breakdown so a lot of what I ordered, including dinner for tonight and tomorrow, isn’t being delivered.
Really not sure what I’m going to do for dinner now, might have a walk over to the CoOp and see what they’ve got that’s going to be quick and easy and not require much heat, when there’s John who isn’t keen on salads.
It needs to be a quick dinner as Jade bought them both a session at a shooting range for their birthdays and they’ve got that booked for 7.15 in Walsall.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all :D

Hot 8-)

Finally got around to doing the front drive with Wet and Forget, the slabs are really looking grubby. Apparently it cleans gradually, the nasty black spots can take up to 3mths to disappear, fingers crossed.

Usual Friday wash day for me, the first load is in, just three more to go.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Hello all and good morning

Ally, hope you had a lovely breakfast, got all the bits and bobs you wanted and are now relaxing by the pool
Jan, I had a giggle at your post - I can just picture the scene
Cruiser, definitely too warm for long sleeves and closed shoes if you can avoid them.
Osc, enjoy the social this evening - sounds like great fun
Jo, probably too late now, but see if you can pick up a roast chicken, lots you can do with that. Salad for those that like, make a sandwich, have it with potato or pasta salad? George sounds adorable - how big is he now?
Jen, I'd love to be able to use something like that on my patio, but I just can't risk it with the cats.... So I have to pressure wash / scrub instead.

WFH day for me today - loving sitting in the dining room with the front and back doors open which means an every so slight breeze coming through. Vet appointment for two of the cats this evening - Jamie going in for her monthly arthritis injection and Henry needs some bloods taken. Last week when I was there with him he became a bit 'feisty' so they couldn't get any. So today he was given some tranquilisers this morning, with two more to be given 2 hours before the appointment which means he's walking around with bit of a wobble - bless him :-D .

Have a lovely day everyone x

Good afternoon.
That made me smile Jan.
I hope they enjoy the shooting Jo.
Another sunny warm day here. So nice to have a bit of proper summer.
We have been to Matalan. MrsC bought some shorts for Ethan but they were down to his ankles - he looked like a baby version of Stanley Mathews.
Shopping has been done, we will have a salad tonight.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon everyone :)

Another baking hot day here! SW meeting first thing, then we sat in the shade in Em's garden - Mick and Dave joined us seeing as they are both retired now 8-) Spent quite a while there as it was lovely and shady, then round to D's. She has one of those tall cooling tower type fans, and that was going, so she's keeping nice and cool in the heat 8-)

Love to all xxx
