Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, spring morning :Hi: 21C for us today and rising for the rest of the week :Hi:

Off to Ourique this morning, I have to try and sort out a problem in the bank for Chris and Lucy, pay a bill for me and then the normal supermarkets and chemist.

Pit stop for coffee, back for breakfast and then heading outside to either do some strimming :Hi: :Hi: or weeding. I know which I'd prefer

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally, JanB and anybody else who is up.

Only 14C when I got up It is dry but there are grey clouds. Just a day pootling. If it stays dry may do some gardening. The weeds are growing and I want to get some plants.

Have a good day everybody.

Good morning everyone.

It is a lovely Spring day; bright and clear and getting up to 16 °C in a short while.

I need to get out and go to the Community Hub to find out what has happened to the council tax notifications. Some of us have not had them yet and there is just over a week before payments become due. There is no information on the website and no number to call so it's a trip in person.

Ah well, I hope that you all have a good day. xx

Hello and good morning everyone

Oh Ally - 23 degrees sounds absolutely heavenly; sigh. Enjoy the morning with Jacob and definitely enjoy the bacon and eggs; yum!!!!
Jan, I'll happily take your 21 degrees as well LOL. Good luck at the bank and with everything else.
Cruiser, enjoy the day pootling. Hopefully it stays dry for you and you can get into the garden.
Frank, good luck at the Community Hub. That's very frustrating that you have to go in person and cannot find the information online.

A beautiful sunny morning here - absolutely gorgeous. I'll be heading into London a bit later this morning, and then this afternoon and evening I'll be with Karl and Nadine as it is Karl's birthday.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s mostly sunny here but cool, although the temperature is still improving. We were up early as Edward wanted to do some painting outside and I had to hold the ladder - we needed to do it before the street got too busy. Miss Osc drove by on her way to work and was not too happy to see her Dad up on a ladder! I have an optician appointment this afternoon, only a year since the last one, but I feel my eyesight has disimproved, although she will probably say it’s fine. I do want to get new frames anyway, I’ve had my present ones for quite a few years, as I reused them the last time I had a prescription change and they are a bit battered looking. My brother phoned earlier, he sounds a lot better. Finally the doctor has taken him off the diabetes tablet that was causing a lot of his problems, it took a couple of doctor visits and some firm talking before he did, and his daughters are busy enforcing a change of eating on him ;) He has had a difficult couple of weeks and is very tired, but I told him that comes with age, it takes longer to get over illness as you get older. It’s his birthday next week, he will be 81. All birthdays at the moment, SIL today, Miss Osc on Monday, g/nephew on Sunday.

Good afternoon.
Just back from Ponte Carlo.
Shopping done and now there is some paperwork to do.
MrsC's Uncle Jim seems to have landed on his feet, touch wood. (Makes a change from him landing on his head).
The social services have assessed him and he is going into care. in fact where he is now, a home about a mile as the crow flies away from his home. He even knows some of the staff who work there.
This will mean that his bungalow will have to be emptied and standing orders stopped, meters read, etc.
MrsC is going up to the library, I'm going to do the crossword.
Have a lovely day everybody.

Afternoon everyone :)

Crommers, that’s such good news about Uncle Jim, what a relief for you all :Hi:

*Waves to everyone*

A beautiful sunny day here. Did some washing, then popped to Dunelm with Emma. She had some bedding to donate to their recycling scheme - her mum’s stuff as her house sale is finally going through on Friday - so I gave her a hand.

Mick took Fraggle for an appointment - he’s put on half a kilo in weight and his hair is starting to grow back :Hi: :Hi: Fraggle’s that is, not Mick’s :P ;)

Love to all :) xx

Evening all, it’s been a funny old week.

We went to Home Bargains last Thursday evening and when we came back I started coughing which seemed really odd, kept wondering if I’d breathed something chemically in and it’d got on my chest. That carried on through Friday.
John was going out with Lee on Friday night to see John Cooper Clarke in Nottingham and I was looking forward to having the TV to myself, maybe starting a jigsaw…instead I was dozing on the sofa, feeling either too hot or shivering.
Saturday I hadn’t the energy to get out of bed. My head, eyes, ears and legs were aching and I slept on and off all day. Sunday I got up and lay on the sofa, still aching, still dozing. By now I was worrying because John had an Endoscopy appointment booked for Monday morning at New Cross in Wolverhampton and he needed someone to accompany him home as he was being sedated, there was no one else who could go with him and he didn’t want to do it without sedation.
Anyway, Monday morning I felt much better but I ended up walking around the nearby retail park for 2 hours while he was having the procedure, and after we got home it was a lovely afternoon and he needed fresh air so we went for a walk. I think I overdid it and was wiped out by the evening and all day yesterday.
Still coughing now and then but back to normal now.

His Endoscopy was clear thankfully but now he’s got the lurgy.

Kaz, that’s amazing news about Fraggle! :D

Crommers, good to see that Uncle Jim is sorted with a good place x
