Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning and 22C for us.

I will get the cleaning and ironing out of the way this morning.

This afternoon, it's weeding. Everything is too wet at the moment, after a heavy dew.

Roast chicken for dinner. Odd, for a Saturday night, but plans change, as we're out to lunch on Monday and then away for three days.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Ally, your weather sounds lovely, Jan yours too! xx

Storm Bert has arrived here, it's pretty windy and wet too. We are venturing out however, as Mick dug his Skechers out for me to pack and they have a split in them, so he needs new ones   May as well have breakfast while we're in the Quays ;) Everything is ironed ready to pack, so we're almost ready for the off on Monday 8-) Round to see D later.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Well now, I have been up for quite a while.

There was a low rumble then a huge thud at about 6:30 this morning that woke me up. It was the snow sliding off the roof and hitting the deck. It is that wet, soggy stuff, so although it is laying it is not sticking to the roofs.

The forecast is for it to get to 8°C by lunch time so we can expect a quick thaw with a bit of local flooding.

A day for staying in methinks.

Morning all, it’s wet and miserable here. We left a completely snowed over Mayo yesterday and arrived home to a snow free Dublin, but also 8 degrees in the house and a dead boiler   Thankfully we have a gas fire and an immersion for the water. The plumber will be here sometime this morning but I wouldn’t be surprised if we need a new boiler as we have had problems before. We’ll see. I’m going to change the bed as that’ll keep me warm! Today the temperature outside is supposed to head towards 15 degrees :? Strictly tonight.

We had a great time while away, really enjoyed it. We had one free day on Thursday (a day with no workshops) and we had planned a day out but the roads around Westport were so bad that we didn’t take the car out, just explored Westport a bit on foot, did a bit of C-word shopping and had lunch in a nice little cafe - some places were closed because people couldn’t get there due to the bad roads.

Cruiser, Frank, very wise to stay indoors xx

Osc, really glad you enjoyed yourselves away, but what a pain to come home to a broken boiler! :x Hope the engineer can fix it for you asap.

We’re in Portivo’s as it’s right by the outlet where Skechers is. Breakfast is ordered - I’m having my usual poached egg on toast, Mick and B like a sausage butty and the pups get a sausage each :D  They’re really dog-friendly in here 8-)

Morning all :D

Cold, windy, drizzle and the occasional glimpse sun :?

We were out early to do the usual weekly M&S trolley dash. We got there 15mins or so earlier than usual, just as well the car park was much busier when we left and the ladies on the tills say it's already getting hectic, it's not likely to ease this side of Christmas. No other plans for the day, just glad to be back home in the warm.

Strictly tonight, then Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Hope you all have a good day xx

All gone now. No white stuff left, but there are flooding problems down Kirkstall Abbey way. And the rain is teeming down.
