Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 15 Oct 2024, 04:34

Good morning.

Sunshine and warm enough at 24°. 8-)

Last swim today. The pool has certainly been used this year!

Off to IKEA this afternoon. I want new pillows for our bedroom and in their recently delivered catalogue they have some lovely duvet sets which I must have.
They won't be getting used yet though as we're still sleeping on just the fitted sheet and the ceiling fan on.

We'll have lunch there as Don is partial to a meatball or two.

I'm popping out tonight to meet my friend who has a friend visiting from Portugal. :D

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and everyone

It's definitely been a long summer for you Ally, and thank goodness you have the pool. Enjoy Ikea (will admit to being quite partial to their meatballs as well ;-) ).

Another WFH day for me :Hi: . 10am eyebrow appointment and a quick trip to Sainsbury's for the usual bits that are needed and then the rest of the day is just more admin / closing company accounts etc and this evening I'll crack on with the sorting of the stationery. It's really dull and dreary out there and (unsurprisingly given the amount of rain we had) we have a flood warning in place. I'm fine because I live on a slight hill, but the River Wey that runs through all the fields behind where I live is very prone to bursting it's banks.

Have a good day all x

Morning Ally, Ria and everyone

Sun and cloud with rain forecast for today.

Just been and fed the donkey. He really is so gentle, taking the apples out of my hand.

Ironing for me, then a lazy day. Nothing else to do, but read and watch the rain.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Dull and overcast

Ed's off to the dentist this morning, he'll be getting his crowns fitted. Wonder how long that will take, last time he was in there for over an hour. Must admit, just thinking about it gives me the heeby jeebies :o

No other plans, expect we'll have a lazy afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s a damp and dreary one here. I’ve so much to do I don’t know where to start. I’m trying to get panko breadcrumbs, they had none in the local deli but I know some of the fish shops have them, so I’ll take a walk down the pier. I was supposed to be getting my new implant this afternoon, but the dental surgery phoned yesterday and said that the technicians have changed their measuring criteria (or something) so the implant won’t fit and has to be redone. A new appointment was made for two weeks’ time, luckily it is a back tooth so no obvious gap. Lots of stuff to go in the attic, the cases from our holiday, the summer duvet, and I’m starting to put away summer clothes, then taking down warmer ones.

Good afternoon.
A grim day here too, grey and drizzly.
We have just been to Dunelm to get some cushions and wine glasses; later we are picking Eliza up from school.
That donkey sounds sweet Jan. Enjoy your day at the market Cruiser.
MrsC is off to see how Jim is later.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon everyone :)

Cooling down at last then, Ally? We want to go to IKEA at Bristol soon xx

Jan it’s so kind of you to feed that donkey, I just adore them xx

Ria, the fields down by the Severn are a bit soggy too :? xx

Enjoy the market, Cruiser :) I like a market too xx

I hope Ed got on ok, Jen. I have crowns, not the nicest of experiences xx

That’s lucky it’s a back tooth Osc xx

Grim weather here too Crommers  xx

We’ve been out for breakfast, then round to D’s. Home now. B has a Zoom interview at 3, Mick is sandy my down the plaster walls in the conservatory, prepping for wallpapering, and I have stuff in the dryer to keep an eye on.

Love to all xxx
