Good morning Tuesday

Postby Osc » 10 Sep 2024, 05:49

I am up farrrrr too early as I have to be at the hospital at 8am for my knee injection. I would like to have driven myself but the consultant said it would be better if I didn’t drive home afterwards, so I’m getting a taxi. Edward very kindly got up to get me my breakfast and the taxi is due at 7.15. I don’t know how long the whole thing takes although I suspect the injection itself doesn’t take long. It’s dull and overcast out there.

Good morning.

Good luck Osc. xx

Forecast 32° but if it's anything like yesterday it'll be way hotter.
We're going to book a couple of nights in Nerja and head off there tomorrow. A coastal breeze sounds perfect. :cute:

I'll be in the pool most of today.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Hope all goes well for Chris today Kaz. xx

Morning Osc, Ally and everyone

Mist just going. Very eerie, we could see over the mist, as the sun was coming up, hen the mist got thicker, sun disappeared, now back again. Quite cool out there.

Best of luck this morning Osc xx Hope it's not too painful.

And to Chris too Kaz xx

First load of washing out, the other will have to wait until we get back.

Off down to see Joaquim, about the car, then heading into Ourique, for a busy morning. I get to sit down for an hour, as Dora does my tootsies, then it's hoofing it around Ourique, to get money on my phone, get Grumpy's blood test results - both up different hills   - then onto the supermarkets and the chemist.

Back for a late breakfast/early lunch, then I have no idea. Probably too knackered to do anything else

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hello and good morning all

Good luck Osc, hope it all goes well and that you're home very soon and don't have to wait too long.
Best of luck to Chris today Kaz - anxious mommy moments today ((((hug))))
Ally, I was watching Escape to the Sun yesterday evening and the house hunt was in and around Nerja - it did look rather nice. Enjoy the pool today
Jan, that mist sounds quite interesting; hopefully it'll warm up a bit for you soon. Good luck re the car, hopefully it's a cheap and quick repair and hope you get all the bits and bobs sorted that you want. Enjoy the hour relax though!

A very very dull start to the day here - 13 degrees only, with a very nippy wind. I'm going to risk getting some washing on the go and hanging it out, no rain expected (apparently :? ). Other than that it's the usual mix of work and pootle.

Have a lovely day all x

Good morning everybody.

A cool 17C this morning and windy but no rain. Grey clouds but the sun is trying to come out.

Osc, hope your injection goes well.
Kaz, Best of luck with Chris.

Ally, I think I have been to Nerja on one of my many trips to Spain. There are a lot of lovely little villages which had not been spoiled.
Will change the bed and do some washing today.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast

Osc good luck with the injuection xx
Kaz thinking of you and Chris today, hope it all goes well xx
Jan fingers crossed the car isn't too costly.

Up early today, we're expecting Mike who's coming to do the yearly service on our boiler. He said mid morning, but I'm sure his idea of of that time slot is a lot earlier than ours  Once he's been we'll pop over to the small Tesco, we need bananas and a few other bits.

The temperature has definitely dropped so I think this will probably be our last week of salads, hot dinners are on the way methinks. I'll do a chilli for dinner this evening.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s dull and breezy.

Off out shortly as I have an appointment with Barclays, in the library. The local branch closed so they have a small set up for queries etc weekdays in the library. We’d signed up for their Rewards scheme years ago, you pay £5 a month for preferable saving rates, cash back in some shops and online, £5 paid into a ‘wallet’ if you have direct debits going out of your account and a subscription to Apple TV too. Late last year I had a message saying that the £5 payment had been taken in error and the Rewards section disappeared from the banking app so I assumed it had ended. Then a few months later I noticed that they were still taking the £5, and I could see no way of stopping this. Live chat have been less than useless but have eventually discovered that for some reason the Rewards account had separated from our current account and needs to be re-merged but they couldn’t do that, it has to be done in a branch. the lady I’m seeing phoned yesterday and she’s not sure that she can do it and may need to escalate it. In the meantime they’re still taking £5 per month and we’re not able to get any of the benefits but there should by now be over £150 in the ‘wallet’ which we can’t get at to withdraw into our account either!
I’ve got a feeling that this appointment will be a waste of time.

Hope all goes well Osc!

Thoughts are with Kaz and Christ today xx

Have a good day all :D

Good morning, just.
I hope the injection works Osc.
Good luck to Chris today Kaz.
It was grey and grim earlier but the sun has just come out.
Our car is at the garage this morning; I'm getting this ache in my wallet type feeling...
Gosh Jo, that sounds like a right faff.
Have a good day everyone.

Berlimey, it's hot now 8-)

No idea what Grumpy and Joaquim were saying, but he's getting Gabi up to have a look at it in the next couple of days, rather then taking it to a garage.

Got everything done, even got salt for the pool and have just had a slightly late lunch.

Washing out, Molly fed and I'm heading for a shower. The pool is too cold now we've has some rather chilly nights. Not getting in when it's 24C

Will pop down to the bar later, think we need a breather ;)

Thanks very much for the good wishes everyone! He’s just back now, successful procedure they said- phew!! He’s asleep now and will be monitored for a couple more hours yet, but hopefully home later today :)

It has been a bit nerve-wracking I must admit, as he was the last to go down so we were waiting around all morning.

Love to all, I hope your injection went well Osc xx
