Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 02 Sep 2024, 05:38

Good morning.

Creeping up a few degrees for the next couple of days. Stop it!

I'll have a swim shortly with only birdsong for company.

Being picked up by David and we're going to visit his mum.
We'll spend a couple of hours with her, go back to see to John then back to Sue for an hour late afternoon.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cool and grey start again, but that will be gone by 10.00 and we'll have a lovely day again.

Up early ish as Grumpy has to have a rake of blood tests and the place opens at 8.00, so I'll just finish my coffee and then we'll head out.

Back for breakfast, then I intend to get some more cutting back of plants, as long as it's not too hot.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning you three and everyone

Ally, have a good day with David and his parents ((hugs))
Jan, good luck to Grumpy for the blood tests and hope the weather stays just right so you can get out into the garden
Cruiser, hope you get all phone calls sorted

Similar weather here to what Cruiser reported. Not sure what today will bring, it's the usual mix of work and pootle and grocery shopping.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s a miserable wet morning here, a real “first day back from holiday” sort of day  We had a good journey back yesterday, it was a long day but went smoothly. Coach from Southampton at 9.30am to Heathrow. We had decided to have a good lunch as our flight was not until the afternoon, so we ate in the Heston Bloomingexpensive place, it was very nice and our decision but £7 for an iced tea is very dear! However we enjoyed as an end to the holiday and it meant we could just have tea and toast when we got home. We walked in our front door at 6pm, unpacked straight away, but there was no point in putting on a wash given the forecast for today. I’ll go to my mobility class this morning, then start on the washing this afternoon. My travel hot hairbrush died while we were away so at least this morning my hair looks better!

We had a lovely time with great weather which was a bonus, four nights is a nice length for a cruise. We met up with a couple we have met before, we knew they were going to be on it, they like to dance too. We were not too mad about the ship though, and if we were to cruise again (unlikely) it would not be on the Queen Anne. We also had a great day in Southampton the day before we boarded, which has never happened before! The countdown is on for our next holiday in just over four weeks, and for the first time in about 10 years, we have nothing booked for next year  (yet…….).

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast

Ally hugs for David and his mum.
Jan good luck to Grumpy with his blood tests, hope he doesn't have to wait too long for his results.
Hope you get all your calls done Cruiser.
Ria always good to go with the flow.
Osc glad you had a good journey yesterday, after holiday washing is never much fun.

We have eye tests booked for this afternoon. Well overdue, don't think we've had it done for over 2yrs. I doubt I'll need new specs with my cataracts, but you never know. Ed definitely needs new ones, his prescription is bound to have changed and in any case he needs another pair. His spare was badly damaged when he was in hospital so if anything happens to his current pair he's stuffed. More expense!!

Apart from that it's more Paralympics for us today.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning.
Grey here but not cold. Earlier it was foggy!
There definitely a touch of the autumn now.
MrsC has gone shopping with our daughter, I'm going to fill some forms in.
We also need to get the car booked in for some new rear discs.
Have a good day everyone.

I have spent a good hour, trying to book train tickets for next week. I'm always stuck on one stage  booking the actual seats

I've given in and just rung Steve, our local computer whizz, and heading down there, so he can help me.

Will stop at the bar on the way ish back :D

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, hope the visit goes well xx

Same wishes for Grumpy's blood tests, Jan xx

Afternoon, Cruiser xx

Wet weather here, Ria :cute: xx

Glad you had such a great time Osc :) xx

Good luck with the eye tests, Jen xx

Wishing them a safe flight home, Saundra xx

It feels autumnal here too, Crommers xx

Showers here, on and off. Went into town with Emma this morning, and met up with our WW friend for lunch. I've got some washing out, just need to keep an eye on the weather.

Heard from Chris, he's definitely having his procedure next Tuesday, the 10th. We'll go over on Monday, stay in a hotel as Chris's flat is tiny, and get him to the hospital for 8am. Not sure if It's a day job or an overnight stay - we'll know more after he sees the consultant on Wednesday, but if he's in overnight we'll stay another night as he can't drive for two days.

Take care all xxx
