New monitor

I managed to get my hands on this.

I read the comments then looked at the listing again and realised that there were about 15 dfferent monitor options there. The price is good and I decided that my 27" 2k monitor was going to have it's final day as my secondary monitor here in the van. There were a lot of bad comments but I realised most people had managed to select a different monitor from the one they thought they had.

I took the delivery then headed straight for my daughter as I needed to borrow her iPad to diagnose my Starlink connection. Connected it to her work docking stations as she had been talking about getting a second monitor. I gave her a 32" monitor a while back as she was having trouble with her eyes. Work had given her two 20 year old IBM 4:3 monitors and the screen on her laptop is pants.

So anyway it connected and worked, perfectly, immediately. I suggested that if she wanted another monitor that this would not be a bad deal.

There are no obvious issues with the monitor and the curve works better with my twin monitor arms. I just bought two more. I'll take them to France and replace the two monitors at home, these are better quality than both the monitors I have in France. For what it is I was looking at paying as much for one as I'm paying for two. I guess time will tell but it is certainly not a disaster.

Notably I'm not playing games on it or overdriving the monitor. I'm just doing work on it. It is sharp, bright and clear. What it games like I don't care.

Too big for me!

I have nowhere to put one and really big screens drive me mad. I am quite happy on the lappy  and even watch Freeview TV on it a lot of the time. I can go full screen or in a small window for news and such.

Yeah but I work on it and use multiple windows. So it's all about screen estate for me.
