Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 13 Aug 2024, 04:44

Good morning.

Set to be nice again. 8-)

Had a lovely surprise from Craig yesterday.
He'd bought me a bottle of perfume for my upcoming birthday then told me to get my gladrags on as he was taking me out to lunch. We went into town to Pizzapunks, had a couple of cocktails and a really lovely day together. :cute:

I'll be packing today and having a quiet day at home. :D

New Masterchef tonight and Craig's cooking dinner. :D

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and anybodyelsewho is up.

The sun is out and it is 22C. But there are some clouds.

Going to Chorley. They have stalls on the market which are not there on Friday. I want a new pair of casual shoes for my holiday
in September.

Back home I will just be pootling again.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Rather cloudy and cool this morning, might even get a shower

Sometimes the watering seems to take forever, well over an hour this morning, but then I did everything, so that means we will get a shower

We bought some plants last week and it's just been too hot to put them in, so they'll go in this morning. Had to put fencing around one of my aloe's, as something is eating it :? It's just so spiky and sharp, I'm really surprised. It's been there for eight years and this is the first time it's been munched. One of my others is already dead, as it got eaten  I've tried, feeding it and watering, but it's now a lovely shade of grey and brown.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s sunny and slightly cooler.

Had another sighting of the Northern Lights last night, I was leaning out of a second floor window looking for the meteor shower (only saw one) when I got the alert and I was messaging with Tom at the time as he’s camping in the countryside just outside of Bude. He didn’t see the Aurora but sent me the most amazing photo that he took of a sky full of stars and what we think is the Milky Way. It just shows how much light pollution we have around here.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all, it’s fairly grey out there and looks a bit murky out to sea. Edward has of course gone to play golf. H/worky stuff to be done today, mainly cleaning the bathrooms after the usual tidy around. We are considering going to the Dublin Horse Show tomorrow but only if it is a nice day. Cruiser, where are you going on holiday? Jo, lucky you seeing the Northern Lights, I can never stay up for it to be dark enough.

Morning all :D

Hot and sunny 8-)

Popping over to the small Tesco in the next hour or so. Don't need much, just more salad stuff. Expect we'll sit in the garden this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all.
Nice and sunny here.
I've been quite busy. Daughter's car wouldn't start so I had to run her and the dog through to the dog groomer's house in Newmillerdam, then drop MrsC of at our son's house.
Many roads are being dug up round here so it was a bit stressful.
Just having a late breakfast, I might nip through to M&S to get a few bits for tea.
Have a great day everyone.

Hello all and good morning (just).....

Busy morning for me - have changed my broadband from BT and gone over to Sky; installation was due between 08h00 and 13h00... shortly after 8 I got the message that the engineer had started the job (at the exchange down the road), 9am he was here and by 10am all was set up. Now trying to change the WiFi on the, what seems to be gazillion, devices I have at home. Got most done, but am struggling with the various cameras, but I'll get there in the end ;-)

Crommers, we have the same issue here - a main road is closed; was meant to be for 2 weeks, so set to finish this Friday, but (and can you believe this?) they apparently couldn't find the main gas pipe they were meant to be working on, so it's all been extended by a week! Surely surely surely, they should know where they need to be digging up a road - it seriously is a farce.

Oh well, best crack on - leaving here about 1.30; heading down to Portsmouth with Nadine. We were at Gunwharf Quay on Friday and Nadine accidentally left a bag of purchases at one of the shops; so she is driving down to pick it up and I'm going along for the ride and to keep her company.

Hope everyone else has a lovely day with all the bits and bobs you're up to xxx

Saundra, I always thought I’d have to go to Norway or Iceland to see them and now we’ve seen them twice from the house
in three months
