Quick question

Postby cromwell » 02 Aug 2024, 15:51

We are trying to sort out my wife's Uncle Jim's finances and I was wondering if any VVer could help.
Is pensions credit paid by the Department of Work and Pensions, or by or through the local council?
He's getting some money from the council and we don't know what it is for?

Pension Credit is paid by the Department for Work and Pensions Crommers.

Could he be getting some kind of refund for his rates? Can't think of anything else.

Check the dates the payments are made. If they are every four weeks - not monthly - they could be housing benefit.

Thanks both!
Yes, WM they are every four weeks so that is probably what they are.

Crommers, if Jim keeps these things in his unsorted paperwork he should have a notification from the council about the payments. If it goes some time back he could be in line for a shortage of the payments.

It's a long shot, but might be worth looking into.

Try the council HB pages just in case.
