Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 31 Jul 2024, 04:24

Good morning.

Well, I had an absolutely fantastic time in Scotland.
Lots of family and friends visited, a great 70th birthday party and so many laughs. :P

Amazingly all my trains were bang on time to the minute...that's a first!
Craig was waiting for me last night and we went straight to the pub for a couple of pints and home for a pizza.
Quick shower and I conked out the minute my head hit the pillow.

The weather continues to be lovely.
Yet again I seem to have struck lucky with very pleasant temps...unlike Donland where a severe weather warning was issued yesterday and for the next three days with 44° being forecast.
Don reckons he's spending most of his time in the pool.

I'll do a wash this morning them planning on doing absolutely nothing but relaxing all day.

Craig's cheffing tonight.

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.

The sun is working overtime. It is 21C again and getting hotter. Am going shopping this morningto Lidll. Then it will just be pootling.
Some more gardening.

Have a good day everybody.

Good morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Ally - glad you had a good time, it sounds like - as usual - not a dull moment was had, that is so special and fun! Poor Don, but I've said it before - at least he can sit in a pool, I feel so sorry for the people and esp the animals that have to work in that type of temperature :-(

Cruiser, my day sounds similar to yours; a quick dash to Aldi and Sainsbury's (thankfully both only 10 mins away), and then the usual mix of work and pootle. Got loads of weeding that needs doing and I need to water before it warms up. It'll be interesting what the weather actually does today; we have a yellow weather warning in place for thunderstorms, effective noon today for 36 hour apparently; yet none of my weather apps are showing rain.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, another lovely day here too, I’m actually wearing shorts. I have bedding ready to go out on the line and more ready to be ironed, I did most of the ironing yesterday apart from that. I’ll go for a walk in a while, go to the post office to take out some money, buy, write and post a card to Miss Osc and SIL - it’s their 22nd anniversary on Saturday. Not sure where those years have gone!

Morning everyone

We now have sun and warmth but earlier this morning it was chilly and very misty. And it played havoc with my internet

Had to grab Molly and bring her inside earlier. We had three fox cubs playing in the garden. One, she could cope with, but not three. Chased them off for now. Grumpy is getting his air gun out, we really need them to disappear from our garden.

Done the shopping, chemist and had a coffee on the way back. Breakfast just finished and Grumpy is going to hang a wall clock I bought yesterday.

I'm making fish cakes for dinner.

We might pop down to the bar later, as the recycling bins are now empty and ours up here are full

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone xx

Morning all :D

Lovely sunshine 8-)

Well I'm a nervous wreck, just seen Alex Yee win gold, talk about leaving it till the last moment. Now the rowers, soooo close but they won gold too. If the rest of the day is like this I'll have a heart attack  Don't need to tell you what we're doing today

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon all.
A nice day, not as hot as yesterday though.
You brought the sun Ally!
Ria, I remember a Greek man telling me that they work in the fields very early in the morning, to avoid the heat of the day.
We have Eliza again, in a while we are going to the library.
I'm watching Cbeebies, not the Olympics!
Have a nice day everyone.

Afternoon all :)

Glad everyone seems ok - Al, good to have you back, and glad you're having a blast :D xx

It's hot again here! Mick came into town with me - we sat outside Coffee#1, under the lime trees, and it felt cool 8-) Done another wash load, but no way am I ironing in this heat, so it's piling up :cute:

Love to all :) xx
