Good Morning Tuesday

Postby JanB » 30 Jul 2024, 07:00

Morning everyone

We have a grey sky  and it is pleasantly cool at the moment. But the sun will be out and we will have another warm day at 34C.

Off on a jolly today :Hi: Just me and a friend, off down to the Algarve, with a car load of stuff for the charity shop in Silves.

Back to do not a lot but heading out for dinner tonight.

Not sure if the posh car will be back today or not. It now needs a new radiator

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Janb and anybody else who is up.

It is 21C and the sun is out. It will get warmer. Will be out in the garden, I am trimming round the edge of the lawn.

Managed to get my hair cut yesterday. It is a new shop I have not seen before. There are only two barbers and i had to wait nearly an hour.

Wil get there early next time.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s a nice one out there. I’ll go for a walk in a while and at some stage, I need to do some ironing. That’s about it for my day.

Good morning you two and everyone

Eeek Jan; posh car is being rather 'demanding' ;-). Enjoy the day out to the charity shop and definitely enjoy that dinner out.
Cruiser, enjoy the pootle in the garden
Osc, enjoy the walk

Up early for me, watered the garden and the allotment before it gets too warm; and before logging on for work. Have the usual Sainsbury's run to do, but that's about it. Apparently it's going to be around 31 degrees here today, but overcast so aiming to get stuff done in the garden in between the usual work.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Another lovely sunny day 8-)

Ouch Jan, the posh car is certainly living up to it's name.

We were woken up by the door bell at 8.15am so Ed only had time to put his underpants on :o It was a man to read our electricity meter. I only sent them readings a couple of days ago so we weren't best pleased. I did ask if this was another attempt to get us to have a smart meter and he said no, apparently they are legally obliged to check the meter once a year. Interesting, can't remember the last time we saw anyone, definitely not for a very long time!! He said everything is in good working order so hopefully they'll stop pestering us with e-mails and phone calls. Somehow I doubt it.

We'll be popping over to the small Tesco this morning, need to restock the fridge with more salad stuff. Other than that it's more Olympics, we're addicted

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s cloudy and humid here.

Bill’s had an early walk, he was glad to get out as it was far too warm for him yesterday evening to have his usual evening walk. Two loads of washing have been done and it’s mostly all dry.

I’ll make a lasagne for dinner, think Joe’s going for a run when he finishes work though so dinner might be delayed a bit. He had a well timed hospital appointment yesterday. He usually moans about them but was relieved about this one because it got him out of leg 2 of his company charity walk. This leg was to walk round and round Sutton Park (on the outskirts of Birmingham, Ossie will know it) until they’d covered 25 miles. Absolutely crazy in that heat!

Jen, I’d heard that they’re legally obliged to check meters but you’d think they’d make an appointment first! I remember at our last house British Gas kept sending letters with dates and times for checking our gas meter but without fail the time always clashed with me having to get the lads from school so I’d cancel and a few months later another letter would come, this went on for a few years and it never did get checked.

Have a good day all :)

Good afternoon.
A nice hot day here.
i hope the radiator isn't too much Jan.
I have two smart meters Jen.
Unfortunately one of them is broken so I have to take a meter reading myself and send it in on-line.
It is warm for dogs Jo.
Eliza is here. We are doing Lego.
Have a nice day everyone.
