Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 19 Jul 2024, 04:11

Good morning.

Due to be 27° here which is perfect and 44° in Donland.
I'm sure he lived in the Sahara in a previous life as the heat doesn't bother him.

Jackie and I had a beautiful meal last night.
I hardly ever have room left for a dessert but I forced myself  as there was one that was an orange chocolate delight. The lightest of sponge pudding with a jaffa cake centre and vanilla ice cream.
I went to bed dreaming of it.

I've had a wonderful time with Jackie and we realised yesterday it was 46 years to the day we met.
She's been my best friend from that moment on. :P

Getting the 1.50pm train back to Nottingham.
Craig's due back from London around 5 and we'll have a few beers in the Doc's tonight. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Warm already and getting rather hot today. Dropping by 6C tomorrow, which I'm looking forward to already

Let Molly out at 4.45 and should have got up and done the cleaning, but went back to bed and fell asleep again  So the cleaning will be done in batches, some this morning, some tomorrow, as it's already 20C

Salad for dinner. As lovely as last night's dinner was, I really don't want to go out two nights running.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hello you two and everyone, happy Friday

Ally, same temperatures down here - it's so lovely! 46 years of friendship - that's amazing and so special! Orange chocolate ?? hmmmmmm - I think it's a marmite thing, you either love it or you don't; and I'm in the don't camp ;-) but glad you enjoyed it. Safe travels back to Notts
Jan, just talking to my brother about the importance of sleep - you obviously needed it and the cleaning can wait. Hope the day stays bearable for you x

Friday usual wfh for me - it's the most amazing temperature at the moment. Need to send off two quick emails for work and then water the garden. BBQ with Karl, Nadine and kids later today - so a perfect day all round

Have a lovely day all, enjoy the sunshine!!! xxxx

Good morning.
It sounds like you have had a lovely time Ally. How wonderful to be friends for that length of time!
Jan, Molly is a naughty cat! Ria, there used to be a saying (Irish?) that sleep is the beginning of health.
It's a lovely morning here.
In a mo we will be off to do our and Jim's shopping, after the Rington's tea man has been.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all, it’s sunny.

Bill’s had his walk, the hoovering has been done throughout and I’m just about to mow the lawns before it gets too hot. The Tesco delivery is due shortly, wish I’d thought to order some Soleros now
Joe’s working from home today so he’s all set up in the office, Bill’s joined him as it’s quite cool in there until the sun moves around later.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all :D

Lovely sunshine 8-)

Let's hope this weather lasts for a few more days, it's been in scarce supply so far this summer.

Solero's, gosh it's years since I had one of those, yummy.

Wash day for us and a Sainsbury's delivery sometime between 12-1pm. Oh the excitement

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, that’s just so special :) Oh and I LOVE chocolate orange   xx

Oh Soleros, yum! I have bought some Sainsbury’s white chocolate and raspberry ice cream - looking forward to having some later :D

It’s hot and sunny here too - no work on the conservatory as it’s far too hot! I’ve been to SW and we’re currently round at D’s. Quiche and salad for dinner later :)

Love to all xxx
