I didn't even watch, so........ :P

I was too busy checking my Aurora app for the possibility of seeing the Northern Lights, too cloudy though. Will try again tonight :D

You miss the point Frank, it's the political hilarious voting that makes us love it. Forget the singing, thats irrelevant

Kaz the Uk gave Israel 12 points and the public vote got them in first place for a while

In contrast Olly got 0 from the public vote, worst of the night

The UK act was gross, staging a homo-erotic encounter in a toilet, I was so pleased it did badly. I didn’t particularly like Switzerland either. I actually really liked the Israel song. My favourite was Austria, which of course is a kiss of death

The Irish performer is actually very articulate, although her lifestyle may be off the wall. Also, we saw her perform a lovely version of her song, accompanying herself on the piano - it was slow and gentle and you could hear every word, but of course that wouldn’t do for Eurovision!!

I agree Osc, it was dreadful, very sleazy and I wasn't surprised the public vote was a big fat zero. The winner wouldn't have been my choice, but it was okay. My favourite's were Ukraine and Israel and they both did well.

And there was me thinking that it was a SONG contest with people voting for the best songs. You know, the music.

How wrong was I?

Ah now, Frank, it’s a while since it was just about the song, even an old Eurovision diehard like me knows that!

Well said, Osc, so was I. It wasn't "funny". It was disgusting. Quite honestly it's made me join the morality police; go the full turban.

People like Alexander do not "represent" me. If that's what English culture now "is", I don't want to be part of it. Whatever must other countries and cultures think of us?

The Eurovision was a fun completition that brought us Abba, Dana, that "Puppet on a String" girl whose name I've forgotton, Katrina and the Waves .....

But it's been hijacked by the LBGTWXYZ brigade, and now it's a sleasefest. Terry Wogan must be turning in his grave.

(No, I didn't watch it. The BBC News clips were more than enough)

We said exactly the same Ossie, it has been hijacked. My friend text me to say remember when we used to watch this with our mums and dads, its hardly family friendly now is it?

Too much nudity, too much political stuff and the "songs" weren-t really songs.

Are we getting too old
