We watched Foyle's War first and caught the film on Channel 4+1

I really enjoyed it, and it was great to see the little girl who plays Karen in Outnumbered as Princess Margaret.

Yes I 'clocked' her too - she looked very pretty in period costume

Great film, one of the few we've seen in the cinema in recent years.

We recorded this film but haven't got round to seeing it yet, what with our recent holiday
and then watching the Snooker Championship. Maybe we will get round to seeing it soon.

I'm particularly interested in seeing it because I had exactly the same problem as King George VI
when I was a schoolboy back in the 1930s. The teachers tried to cure me without success. One
sugested I stamped my foot when a word wouldn't come out, but that didn't work. Another told
me to sing the words but I would have felt an even bigger fool doing that.

I remember well the first time I heard the King on the radio, and how I felt much happier when
I realised that he had exactly the same problem as me, and that I wasn't the only one.

My doctor said I'd probably get out of it when I reached fourteen years, and, sure enough, I did.

Funnily enough Aggers we haven't watched it yet either, due to Masterchef and then the snooker - plus the weather having been amazingly good for the past few days We will watch it soon I'm sure.
That's interesting about growing out of it isn't it, obviously it doesn't always happen.

I managed to find time to see it this afternoon.

I found it quite an emotional experience, and deeded to wipe my eyes and blow my nose a few times.

It did make me feel so glad that my problem had not continued into adult life. There was, however,, one ocasion when I was in my forties and speaking at a meeting when, for some unexplainable reason my speech stopped and I was unable to continue. A colleague next to me stepped into the breach and finished what I had been about to say. Nothing was said afterwards but it was a most unpleasant experience.
