Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 27 Jan 2024, 06:52

Good morning.

Another gorgeous day forecast. 8-)

I can agree with the BBC weatherman yesterday saying how warm Spain is....we chucked the duvet off last night.

Today I shall mostly be on a sun lounger in the garden reading. :D

Chinese takeaway tonight and a film. :D

Have a great day.

Hope you're feeling a bit better today Jen. xx

Morning Ally, everyone.

It is dull and grey but quite mild.

I have been having a good clear out these past few days of all sorts of things. I have quite a collection of clothes, unused electrical bits and bobs, a set of metal table legs  six wine making demijohns and all the makings to go with them, a printer, a filter coffee thingy etc. etc. Given all that I will need a few trips to charity shops and Leeds recycling centre. Ah well, it will give me something to do.

I hope all the poorly ones, D and Jen and anyone else, are on their way back to good health.

Time for a coffee. Take care all of you.

Good morning everybody,

It was 14C when i got up. Stil lots of grey clouds with some small blue patches.

Like WM I am trying to declutter. About once a month I take things to one of the charity shops.
I am also in the process of altering my Will. I want to make some changes. I want it tobe easy for my executors when I finally pass away.

Going to town later to meet a friend for a natter overa cup of tea,

Have a good day everybody.

Morning everyone

Sunny start.

Late start too, neither of us could sleep, so I went into one of the other bedrooms with a book and then listened to a lot of dogs howling away in the early hours, so something must have been around. Boar probably.

Hope our poorly one's feel better soon xx I'll include Grumpy in this, he's still hobbling

Ironing for me this morning, then writing out what I need to say on Monday :|

Off to get a large amount of petrol in the car, for the driving around next week and stop at the bar on the way back.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, mostly cloudy here but dry. In a while we’ll head over to Miss Osc’s house to use their hose to wash the car - it is absolutely filthy after all the recent weather added to by the traffic in and out of local building works where the lorries are making the road very muddy. There are several huge apartment blocks being built on the way into Howth and apart from the mud and dirt, we have stop/go systems to deal with as well. Edward is currently finishing off a batch of shepherds pies to go in the freezer. I’ll probably do some ironing later.

Morning all :D

Nice and sunny 8-)

Still got a runny nose and coughing up, a thick head, but it's not aching so definitely feeling a little better this morning, Actually managed to stay in bed all night and didn't wake up till just gone 7am, even managed to get back to sleep through till 9. Can't believe how exhausted I feel though.

Z's lot are now on day 13, she had covid last week and they've all gone down one by one. Noah was the last to succumb last night.

Absolutely no plans for today.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Usual Saturday stuff here. It's a fine day, not too chilly, so we actually sat outside Corretto's which we haven't done for a while. Round to D's who is much better :) No news on the X-ray results, which means they didn't find anything 8-)

Got home a little while ago and have just sorted out travel insurance for the trip to Canada - we booked our flights in the week :)

Love to all :) xx
