Good Morning Saturday

Postby JanB » 20 Jan 2024, 08:27

Morning everyone

A lot of cloud this morning which should give way to some sun later. Not that warm at 8C, but should warm up to 14C this afternoon. Dry and no wind!

I have washing out and ironing to do, then meeting friends down at the bar this afternoon.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s dull and dreary here, cold too but no frost. We are going to watch Michael’s football match this morning so lots of layers will be worn! Before we go, I’ll pop up to the chemist and leave in my prescription list for collection later. There is ironing to be done, I might do some if Edward is watching sport this afternoon. I ordered him a shirt from Next yesterday afternoon, it is being delivered this morning, isn’t that excellent! The events of the last while finally caught up with us when we were at dancing last night, we were just exhausted. A friend came over to ask how we were doing and it was good to hear Edward describe what had happened and admit that it had all taken a lot out of him, because he wouldn’t generally talk too much about stuff (men  )

Morning all :D

Sunny and very cold, poor Ed was frozen when he came back with the papers :o

I'm not surprised Edward's feeling overdone Osc, it was a lot for both of you xx

Very helpful physio session. I didn't realise, but I've been walking with my foot turned out, so sort of dragging/swinging it rather than walking properly. She said it's common after a big op as doing it as I have doesn't use all the muscles so less pain. Can't argue with that, doing it as I should is definitely more difficult. She says it's not going to be a quick process and it will take some months. Tbh that wasn't news!! Anyway she's arranged for me to have a couple of hydro sessions at the hospital before seeing her again.

Whoop, whoop I've had my first shower in over 3mths, absolute bliss :D :D :D Honestly, I feel so much better and although my ankle is extra sore, it was soooo worth it. Won't be attempting anything else strenuous today though!! Thanks for all the nice comments yesterday, we had thought about having a break this spring, but while my other issue (on the Health board) is being investigated I won't get travel insurance.

Our normal routine is a day out, surprising how much that throws you out :? Ed's got the washing on the go and we're also expecting the Sainsbury's order shortly, it's all go here........

Hope you all have a good day xx
