Good morning Ally and everyone

Enjoy the dinner Ally!

Very cold, -6 in the greenhouse at the moment. But I love these kind of winter days; crisp cold with blue skies - I'd rather this than rain. Lots of reports of snow further up north, but we seldom get any where I am.
WFH day for me today; collecting my new glasses later today, and a quick pop into Sainsbury's but that's about it.

Have a lovely day all, stay warm and for those further up north affected by possible snow, stay safe and home x

Morning Ally, |Ria and everyone

Blowy this morning and rain forecast for this afternoon. Had a few spots yesterday, which soon dried, so I could have done some washing.

Off to Ourique to get the last bits and bobs ready for dinner tonight. There are seven of us, crammed into our little lounge, so will be cosy  Good job we're all friends

Need to move some furniture around and clean both shower rooms, then do the rest of the prep.

Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning.

It was only 1C when I gotup. We have SNOW. It is about two inches deep and still coming down. Have been for the paper.
I brushedf the snowoff the windows bonnet and lights. I have a poe which has a brush at one end and a scraper at the other. Got it when I was working and it
is very useful in this type of weather. Keepit in the boot.

Not going out again today. Just staying in the warmth. Have sen it on the local TV that one of te main roads on the west side of the town is closed.
May take a few photos, but not building a snowman-not got a carrot for the nose!!

Have a good day if you can

Good morning.
Enjoy your sociable evening, Ally and Jan.
Freezing here too Ria. Lol at Cruiser and the snowman!
MrsC is a bit brighter today. We have a delivery coming later and I need to go to the dump today.
Other than that it's stay in and stay warm.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :)

We’re at Doreen’s. Mick had to ring to make her an urgent X-ray appointment as soon as the department opened at 9, but the best they could do is Sunday  :cute: The GP thinks she may have a pocket of infection (pus) on her lung that needs draining :( So we were at Tesco by 9.30 collecting her extra strong antibiotics. To be fair to our GP practice they were brilliant m, D rang to speak to a doc yesterday and they had her straight in. Not impressed with the X-ray department however  She’s very breathless :( We’ll be here for most of the day.

Ally that sounds fun :) xx

As do your plans, Jan :) xx

Same situation here re the cold Ria, and like you we rarely get snow, although straight out of the city up into the Cotswolds they do! xx

Glad Mrs C is getting better, Crommers xx

Good idea to stay in and keep warm, Cruiser. LOL at the snowman  xx

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning all, it’s bright and cold. No complaints from me, I love days like this.

Bill had his walk first thing and the washing has been done since getting back. Just hoovering and mopping to do now.

Thinking of Osc and Edward today.

Have a good day all x

Morning all :D

Bright sunshine, but very cold brrrr

Kaz hope the anitbiotics help D, what a worry xx

Just had a message from my sister Sue in Oz, she had a review today and her shoulder is looking great, physio isn't as painful as she thought, but her arm won't be as flexible as it was. She will never get it round her back or as high as before, but she's happy she can still do most things. She asked about her hand as it's been very sore and stiff, they've told her it's carpel tunnel probably caused by being in a sling for so long. Fingers crossed it won't mean more surgery. We're both hoping for a better 2024!!

My euphoria losing the boot has well and truly evaporated. I'm having to learn to walk all over again, even with the crutches it's painful, my ankle was singing by the time I got to bed!!! Shouldn't be surprised really after 3mths. I know I'm being very impatient, I was told the pain would probably be around for 6mths or so and the swelling can take up to a year to fully subside. It's just soooo frustrating, I came home thinking ooh I'll be able to shower tomorrow and maybe get to the hairdressers (getting desperate lol) next week sometime. I now realise I was being over optimistic, I am on the home straight, but nothing's going to happen overnight. Hopefully I'll manage to get over the lip into the shower by the weekend, but I'll still need to sit on the perching stool, will just have to so see how it goes. As for the hairdresser, that will definitely have to wait, even if I could get into town I definitely won't be able to walk from the car park to the salon for a while. Oh well onwards and upwards. Oh and guess who phoned this morning...........physio :o Bit late as I was told I was a priority and that was 6 weeks ago!!! Methinks Mr Mostofi, who was really angry I hadn't been seen, might have triggered the call as she asked if I could get there today!! Er no, too much rushing about and I need to arrange transport, so I have an appointment for this coming Friday. Better late than never I suppose.

Hope you all have a good day. stay warm xx
