Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 07 Jan 2024, 06:58

Good morning.

Forecast sunny and day two of 17°.

Just about to take the twins to the airport for their flight to Madrid.

Going to Gambrinus for beers with Don and we'll pick up a rotisserie chicken with chips and crusty bread on the way home. :cute:

Watching the film Saltburn on Netflix tonight. Really looking forward to it. :D

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

Chilly start, so I got up, turned the heaters on and went back to bed

Was a little frosty earlier, but the sun is now out, so the weeds are green again and the cows are trundling around the field next to us. Lovely sound, those cow bells :D

A lazy day, too cold to be outside. A cooked breakfast and then a good book.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, a mostly sunny day here and there was a heavy frost overnight. Thankfully the roads were dry and not icy when we were driving home at 1am. I cannot take late nights so today will be a lazy one, although we will take down the Christmas tree. We had a great time last night, so much fun and lots of dancing, my feet/joints/hips tell the tale today  It’s my favourite event every year. Right, into the shower for me, then dismantling the tree. I suspect there might be a nap in the chair this afternoon!

Morning all.
A chilly one here. I'm off for a paper in a minute. MrsC is getting the dinner ready.
A lazy day here too. I need to do some paper work and have ordered a scanner which should be arriving today.
Too cold to be out much here as well Jan.
Chicken and chips and crusty bread sounds lovely Ally. Only had to defrost the car once so far Cruiser. You sound to have had a very enjoyable night Osc, enjoy resting up today!
Have a great day everyone.

Morning all :D

Damp, windy and very cold brrrr

Ally hope the twins don't have any delays and a safe flight.
Hope you wrapped up well for your shopping trip Cruiser.
I haven't had a cooked brekkie for ages Jan, bet it was yummy.
Glad you had a good night Osc, lovely photo on Fb.
Stay nice and warm Saundra.

We were up at 8.30, but I needed to wash my hair. What a palaver having to lean over the bathroom basin, it wouldn't be so bad if I could stand to do it, but the boot is so unstable I have to sit, water absolutely everywhere!! Soooo looking forward to being able to walk into the shower. Fingers tightly crossed only a week to go now. Honestly this last 3 months has seemed never ending.

It's Z's birthday today, she's 49 this year, honestly the years really do fly past so quickly :o

No plans for today, Ed's doing a chicken curry for dinner this evening which will be nice.

Hope you all have a good day xx

It's now rather warm out there, I had to come inside to take off my thick jumper and put a lighter one on.

It's been a long time for you Jen, not long now xx

Afternoon everyone :)

It's much colder and dried here today, so hopefully it will dry up some of the flooding nearby! We've been down to the Quays, as per, and although the Severn banks are still overflowed, it hasn't come up any higher. Fingers crossed!

Love to all xx
