Blimey Weka that does look horrendous
Osc despite the funeral that sounds like a lovely day
Aww Saundra, poor blackbird, Minnie chases the pigeons but I do worry about her actually catching one!
We had a lovely time, went to two May Fairs, then sat in a pub garden with a drink whilst deciding we wouldn't pay their rip-off prices. So we went to the Wetherspoons in town which was opposed very vigorously; it was really nice, it's been done up beautifully and the food was good - and good value
One of the May fairs, in the next village, was interesting. On the green was their usual, bits for children - bouncy castle, climbing wall, Punch & Judy shows, etc, and other stalls, plus rather good live music. But also, in the community centre, were local crafts, about 30-40 stands, which is an awful lot for a tiny village to have attracted, but they all were genuinely very local.
There were lots of artists, photographers, bakers, cake-makers, candle-makers, you name it! I discovered a lady just a few miles away who sells lovely material and patterns, someone making birthday cakes that look like pizzas - really clever!
And we met a girl who has dogs to stay at her house, which is the best contact. As Minnie is now, we couldn't possibly put her in kennels, but usually she has gone to stay with friend.
Friend however has a young, very boisterous labarador, and Minnie can't really cope with that any more, so we had been a bit worried about ever leaving her anywhere. This girl was lovely, and would come to meet Minnie beforehand, introduce her to her own dogs, basically look after her as her own
The sun has shone, we didn't go far enough to worry about traffic, and all's very well with the world
