Morning all :)

Have a great time with the twins, Ally :) xx

I’m up early as I have a few bits to get ready for the SW meeting. There’s a little party after weighing, so I’ve made SW friendly mincemeat and apple filo pastry parcels, and I wrote out some cards.

Out for brunch after the meeting, then round to see D - the usual Friday stuff :) Hopefully she’s feeling better again today.

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning and warming up nicely.

Bit of cleaning this morning and this afternoon, we have to go to the Centro de Saude to register our new residençia cards, otherwise, they'll chuck us out. Will get some petrol for the strimmers on our way back.

Need to see Steve, down the road, as he's our local computer whizz and I need some help with google earth.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it looks ok when you see it out the window, but it’s actually damp and raw and inclined to be drizzly. I was up early this morning, had over 7 hours straight sleep, so by 8o’c I decided I would get up. I wanted to nip to the butchers to get a chicken breast to have cooked to make a sandwich for Kellie, and I delivered two cards while I was out. I am getting my nails done at 11am and had made an appointment for Kellie for 12.45. She has had a sore throat and was definitely not herself yesterday, but she is a “carry on” girl and has gone to school today, which finishes at 12pm, so she will come here and the nail bar is two doors up. Miss Osc has gone into town to get her hair done and do a last few bits, so she will collect her when she gets back. Edward has gone to play golf, and thinks he will ice the Christmas cake this afternoon, he put the marzipan on yesterday. When Kellie has gone, I might do some ironing.

Good morning everybody.
Itwas 15C when i got up and went for the paper. Now it is light, there are grey clouds and it is breezy. But norain yet. Just another day pootling.
Have taken a parcel to be sent to my grand-daughter. It is a woollen crochet doll which I bought yesterday. I went to a "do" at Derian House
Children's hospice. There were lots of trees decorated with lights on, a Father Christmas for the children as wellas music. A very moving
experience. I couldn't resist the doll.

Not goingout again today. Will have to go out for some fresh veg tomorow.

Have a good day everybody.

Good morning.
It's been a bit manic here this morning.
We've had a wine delivery, a tea delivery, the carpet for the bedroom delivered, a package for our son delivered and our daughter is coming down in a minute.
I need to get some more cash out and get a few more bits yet.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all :)

Dull and overcast, rain's forecast, but the sun keep trying to peep through :?

Enjoy time with the boys Ally.
Hope D is feeling better today Kaz.
Definitely get your cards registered Jan, we can't have you being thrown out
Busy day for you Osc.
I'm sure your granddaughter will love the doll Cruiser.
Blimey Crommers, that's a lot of deliveries.

Bola the physio lady arrived about 40mins late yesterday afternoon, no surprise with home visits, traffic etc. She was very nice, and yes her referral came from the discharge team as I suspected. She's very happy with my shuffle, I did say should I start walking through, but she said no, minimal weight bearing definitely means shuffling. I did admit I'd tried but it had made me rather sore, she said no harm done, but don't do it again!! Having been non weightbearing for 6 weeks I'm bound to be sore and to expect good days, bad days, but not to worry and definitely not to overdo it. Must admit I do feel better having seen her. I did tell her I'm a bit concerned about my next hospital visit, if they decide the boot's no longer needed by then I'm not sure I have a shoe I can actually get on that foot as the ankle is still very swollen. She said they should accomodate that, but she will ring me the following day to see if I need help.

We're up early as I'd booked a morning slot with Sainsbury's who have just delivered. Nothing missing so no need for Ed to dash out for anything last minute. It's also wash day, not too much for him today as he did the bed on Wednesday. The plan is to have the weekend completely free before he tackles the dinner on Christmas day

Hope you all have a good day xx

Evening all, it’s been another breezy one but at least the rain stopped by early afternoon.

First day of John’s holiday today and Joe has worked from home.

I cleaned the bathrooms this morning and did two loads of washing which dried on the line once the rain had stopped, that’s now all ironed and put away. Discovered while cleaning Tom and Joe’s bathroom that their toilet seat was only being held on by one bolt as the other had snapped so I ordered a new seat feom Screwfix and we collected that this afternoon. From there we went to a post office to drop off a parcel for Joe, then onto my Dad’s to sort out his phone (again), next stop was Poundstretcher for some artificial flowers that my Dad wanted for on my Nan and Grandad’s grave. We went straight to the cemetery from there with the flowers and then walked Bill around the Hills just before it got dark.
