Good mornin Ally and anybody else who is up.
It is 15C with some lightrain when I went for the paper.

Going to the bank and some shopping this morning. Back home will be ironing. Did two wshes yesterday and they have dried overnight ready for itoning.

Then just pootling.
Next door neighbours, who I don't like, Have gone awy. A taxi came as I returned with the paper. They don't seem to have put any Christmas decorations up
either inside or outside.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning everyone

By heck, it's cold out there  The temperature thingy is showing 20C, but that's because it's in the sun. Think it's nearer to 4C  Thick frost again, but the sun is out, so will soon go and we'll have another lovely day.

Small amount of ironing for me this morning and then back outside to do more weeding. Some of the flower beds are just too wet, but the banks are much drier. Hardly any soil there, only rubbish, so dries quickly.

Sue was a great help with the access yesterday, but I still think we're on a sticky road, we'll have to see how kind the judge is. But at least we can prove that the electric boxes and wall were there before we moved in, and not, as he's trying to imply, that we put it up after he bought the field.

In saying I'll be weeding later, my back has just told me, in no uncertain terms, that it hurts   Think sciatic nerve, right across the back

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hello and good morning everyone

Ally, enjoy the day and the warm weather
Cruiser, hope you get everything you want in town and don't overdo the housework. And yay - nothing nice when neighbours you don't like go away  - I had that many many years ago when my upstairs neighbour was awful.
Jan, fingers and toes crossed for you - I really hope the judge makes the right decision; what a nightmare

Similar weather here to what Cruiser has. I had a lovely day in Brighton yesterday - popped down to spend the day with a friend for her birthday.
Today is a wfh day for me so the usual mix of work and tidy (didn't get much tidying done the past few days so really need to crack on).

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it was pretty dreary when we got up but has cleared up to be quite pleasant now. We are going shopping shortly, not buying presents but I need face creams and Edward want to get some strip lighting for under the kitchen units. We’ll have a mooch around the shops and a light lunch somewhere. Yesterday evening we popped over to Miss Osc’s house, they have a lovely display of lights in the garden, and we saw the lovely built in unit they have got along one wall in their living room.

Morning all :)

Wet

Enjoy the walk Ally.
Good luck with the shopping Cruiser.
Take it easy Jan,
Glad you had a lovely day in Brighton yesterday Ria.
Have a nice lunch Osc.

No plans for the day, Ocado arrived early with our delivery and it's all put away. My ankle isn't too bad this morning, makes my shuffling sessions a bit easier. I'm trying to use the crutches everytime I get up during the day, but must admit I do give in and use the chair by the time we get to bedtime, cream crackered by then.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon all.
We are just back from a funeral of a lady from down our road. It was a lovely service but they are always emotional events. Her nephew read a tribute to her, which was very moving.
It's cold out there now. I have forgotten to get a paper. Much traffic on the local roads this morning. Apparently in the night there was a collision between an HGV and an electric pushbike - on the M62!
Enjoy the rest of the day.

Afternoon everyone :)

We went out for breakfast, then picked B up from the station on the way round to D's. I nipped across from the Quays to Iceland, and spotted a very upset looking young man, sat in a soaking wet sleeping bag. He didn't look like one of the clearly drug abusing types we see around the city centre. He told me his tent had been flooded and destroyed in the rain/ local flooding we've had here. There are a few fields near the river where homeless people pitch tents. I gave him some money - honestly, people should not have to live like that :o

Have a good day everyone :) xxx
