Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 20°.

Going for a Guadalmar walk with Don. :D

Home to watch the two Masterchef episodes I've missed due to gallivanting.

Holiday today for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception so lots of activities in town. ;)

Friday beers and tapas tonight. :?

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

We're sat above the mist 8-) Very spookey. Should be a warm ish day, once that goes.

Holiday here today.

Looking forward to today :Hi: Friends are coming up from the Algarve - they run a charity and fire watch thing and raise the most amazing amounts of money for the bombeiros in the Algarve and now Ourique - as well as organising evacuation when we have the really big fires.

So they will be the guest stars of the coffee morning - who also raise money for the local bombeiros and other local people - and the Ourique Commandant from the Bombeiros is coming as well. The house has been decorated and it will be a very Christmassy thing.

Then then four of us are going to lunch at one of our favourite restaurants, as they want to try black pork.

I'm going down to the battery store, beforehand, to try and find the alarm we had in our old house and I want Grumpy to put up the box, in full view of the gate, just in case.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning you two and everyone

Ally, I was going to message you re Masterchef last night; I actually switched channels and didn't go back to watch
Jan, have a fabulous morning with your friends - do I read it right that everyone is coming to your house? Enjoy the lunch; and definitely good idea re the alarm box - sad that it's coming to that; but you do live quite remote so good to be proactive

Friday = usual work from home day (ie not much to do work wise  ). Been to Sainsbury's this morning and somehow or the other a vast amount of Christmas lights ended up in my shopping trolly    .

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s a very wet and windy one here in Cavan. We had a lovely night last night in our very large deluxe room. We had a nice leisurely meal, then discovered that we could sign into Netflix on the tv in our room, so we watched a couple of things before going to bed early. Now having a good breakfast to prepare us for the day ahead, goodness only knows what time we will be fed at the wedding. There are others in the hotel who are obviously going to the wedding too, but they are from the “other side” so we don’t know them. After brekkie, I’ll be able to take my time getting ready before we head out into the horrible day.

Morning all, it’s quite sunny for a change but due to rain this afternoon.

John’s off work today to use up some of his holiday allocation. Joe’s also off work, he and Amanda are on the way to Edinburgh for the weekend to celebrate their 5th ‘anniversary’. Knew he was serious about her the morning after he’d brought her around to the house for the first time, a week or two after they met, and he came into the kitchen and asked if I approved of her. Not something he’d asked about any other girls he’d brought home.

It’ll just be me and Tom in tonight as John’s out at a Chinese restaurant in Lichfield with work. They’ve not bothered with the big Christmas party nights since the pandemic. I plan on finishing watching the latest season of The Morning Show on Apple, I’ve got three episodes to go but I’ve cancelled the subscription because there’s nothing else we watch and it runs out in a few days.

Osc, I always take snacks for us all to weddings as it’s usually a long time between the ceremony and the meal, and all weddings we’ve been to in the last few years have been around noon so you miss lunch. The one last week had a table of cakes though which helped  Have a lovely time!

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :)

Bright and sunny :D

Usual Friday wash day, I've told Ed to leave the bed change until next week, he's got enough to do without that as well. Have had a good shuffle already this morning. The ankle's up at the moment, it gets really sore each session.

Oh and just had a phone call from the community rehab team. A lady called Bola wants to come and see me on 21st Dec. I think this is the referral to help me with the gutter frame!! I've since seen physio at the hospital who say they will be sending me an appointment to assess how I'm doing with the crutches/walking frame. Left hand/right hand springs to mind, we'll see........

Hope you all have a good day xx

That’s good news Saundra!

I hope so, anyone heard from him? I’ve just looked and he’s not been here for 2 weeks.
