Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 07 Dec 2023, 06:43

Good morning.

Forecast 20° and sunshine.

I don't fancy a walk today so I won't.

As yesterday was a holiday, and tomorrow is a holiday, the Spanish decide they'll have a puente today making it an unofficial holiday.

We'll join in too by starting off going to Gambrinus for lunch. Which will no doubt extend into evening.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

The earlier mist has now disappeared, apart from a few low lying areas and the sky is a wonderful pink, grey and blue. Warmer and dry for most of the day, rain for late afternoon/early evening.

Going to get some of the cleaning out of the way this morning and also make a curry for Saturday. I'd like to get down into the field, for a bit of a tidy up, but will see how it goes and how wet it is down there.

Also need to try and get hold of Helder, the builder, as it appears we need to be seen to be doing something about this blasted access and the idiot next door. He's now on his fourth solicitor and this one is threatening us with all sorts

Think well give the bar a miss today, because of the rain, but will sit outside, here, and rain curses and hexes on next door  8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

Another cold damp start. It has ben raining and there are still grey clouds so we mayhave some more. It is 12C but willget warmer now the CH is on.

Going to Chorley again for food shopping. Back home will put the lights up in the window in the lounge. This faces out on to the road
so passersby will se them. Will also put the tree up. I may buy a new one already decorated. Keeping my options open.
Will putthe wshing on while I am out. I can then put it to dry overnight ready for ironing.

Am ordering new bulbs online. Canot get them locally evenat eletrical wholesalers.

Have a good day everybody

Morning all, it’s a sh**e day here, no other way to describe it, wet and miserable and forecast to be like that tomorrow too. We’re almost packed and ready to go, we’ll go to dance practice this morning and then head off to Cavan - where we dance is beside the motorway we’ll need. We plan a nice relaxing evening, early meal and then enjoy our room - I have a voucher for the hotel so upgraded us to a deluxe room. The wedding tomorrow is about a 20 minute drive from the hotel, then tomorrow night we’ll stay in the wedding hotel. I’m looking forward to the two night break. Home Saturday afternoon to our beautifully decorated house, Michael and Kellie did a great job with the tree and all the other decs are up too.

Good morning all

Ally, enjoy the lunch which hopefully will be extended :D 8-)
Jan, remember me mentioning that you should take up a hobby - what about knitting? Then you can make a little knitted voodoo doll to add impact to your curses and hexes
Cruiser, I need to get Christmassy things sorted today - tidying the house is a start. I need to figure out best place for a little tree - didn't have one last year because of the renovations (well I had a dinky potted one on the kitchen counter thanks to Nadine) but not a 'proper' one - and not going to do that again this year.
Osc, the weather isn't much better here. Safe travels today and enjoy the two night break - upgraded hotel sounds good!!! And have an amazing time at the wedding!

Well, wfh day for me so the usual mix of work and pootle. As mentioned pootle involves tidying and cleaning and hopefully getting a start on some Christmassy bits - I love this time of year and it's annoying me that I don't have anything up yet

Have a lovely day all xxx

Morning all :)

Bright and sunny :D

Gosh your neighbour really is a pest Jan, hope your solicitor can get things sorted for you.

Managed three good shuffle sessions yesterday, very painful and causes a lot of swelling. Will try to do the same again today, slowly, slowly does it. Expecting a call from my son this afternoon, haven't chatted for ages, it will be nice to have a good catchup.

No other plans, Ed's got a casserole going in the slow cooker so dinner's sorted. Still got pressies to wrap, but that can wait for a few days.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, the Spanish know how to live  xx

As far as your horrible neighbour goes, Jan I will just repeat the worst curse that Doreen uses, "May be have haemorhoids!" 8-)  xx

Cruiser, there are some very nice ready decorated trees :) xx

I hope you have a wonderful break, Osc, and congratulations to the happy couple :) xx

Ria   xx

It's definitely slow-cooker weather, Jen! Sorry you're still in pain, but glad you'll be car hung up with your son :) xx

It's belting down here, waiting for the inevitable flood warnings :o We're lucky enough to be slightly higher up where we live, but it can make getting around the city more difficult

Mick and I went to Tesco, as D isn't feeling great, so we dropped a few bits off to her on our way home. Just had a sandwich and we're watching the news. I have a skirt that needs ironing - miraculously that's all that needs it  Pilates tonight, it's not easy gearing up to go out on dark and stormy nights

Love to all xxx
