Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 03 Dec 2023, 06:50

Good morning.

A beautiful sunrise. 8-)

Off for a walk and, unlike yesterday, I'm definitely staying at home to relax and read.

Don's going to nip out for a rotisserie chicken that comes with baguette, salad and chips. :D

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

A lovely sunny but chilly morning. Stunning sunrise here too 8-)

Everything is soaking wet outside, so a heavy dew or a bit of a frost, not going out to find out

General pootling with plants today. I'm also going to wash the bedding, as it's supposed to rain tomorrow. Just need Molly to get up first, as she's on our bed

Roast pork tonight and a cooked breakfast this morning :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

It was12C when I got up. The CH is on and it is now 15C and goingup. Fortunately mycomputerisvery near a radiator so i can kep warm when I am typing.
There was about two inches of snow on the car when I went for the paper. Main road which s a bus route is clear but side roads still have snow on them.
If it doesn't thaw there is going to be problems tomorrow as there are two schools close by.

Am gong to write the Christmascards so I can post them tomorrow. Will also put the decorations up. Have decided I am not going to have a tree this year.
I have got a steam engine which will play a carol, a church in a glass dome which also lights up. There will also be lights round the windows. It will be enugh
as I will not get many visitors.

Pork loin chop with stuffing for dinner.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :)

Ally, we'll see!   xx

Aw, Jan, how could you disturb her? ;) ;) xx

Cruiser those decorations sound nice :) I'm planning to start on my Christmas cards later, although I shan't post them yet. Got my stamps, I ordered the Christmas ones xx

It's wet here, Becky went to the Christmas party at Woods, the vets she used to work at, got in at midnight just as the rain started and I doubt it's stopped since :x Mick and I are going to Corretto's, she's having a lie-in so we're leaving Fraggle with her. Sausage casserole and baked spuds for dinner, I cooked it overnight in the slow cooker :? Round to D's afterwards.

Exciting news last night, our nephew C who lives in Qatar is marrying his Canadian-born Lebanese girlfriend next summer - in Toronto - and Mick and I are accompanying Doreen :D :D :D I've never been across the Atlantic before so am thrilled :D :D

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all :)

Wet and miserable

Kaz be sure to add a few days to your Canada trip,Toronto's a lovely city. Niagara Falls aren't too far away either, would be a shame to travel all that way without seeing them. There are some good hotels overlooking the Falls, it's amazing seeing them lit up at night.

We're up early too, expecting an invasion when they've had brekkie at the hotel. Think Jan our lovely next door neighbour is coming round this afternoon so a busy day. Ed's just going to pop an M&S cottage pie in the oven for dinner this evening, nice and easy.

The wheelchair taxi was brilliant yesterday, we're having him again for my hospital trip tomorrow.

Hope you all have a good day xx

That's great news Kaz. :x

Let me know the date so I can plan a meet up with you when I'm over. xx

My cousin Vik and his family have lived in Toronto for seven years now and their fb photos show a fabulous looking city.

I've just this second had news from Jackie that her daughter Amy in Australia is pregnant with a little girl. :D

And Craig's sent a photo of his back garden which is like a winter wonderland of snow.

How exciting Kaz! We’ve been to Toronto a number of times when visiting the relatives in Niagara Falls (they're on the US side) and it’s a fabulous city! The Falls are a must see, we’ve seen them from several angles - US, Canada, boat, up close on the cave walk and by helicopter  The Canadian side is quite commercial with lots of bright lights and attractions whereas the US side is a designated State Park with woodland and you can get very close to the edge of the falls from there. Might be worth getting an ESTA and walking across the bridge into the US.

We had an inch or two of snow overnight, it’s drizzly now though so hopefully it’ll soon clear.
I did the trees yesterday, I decided to have a change and put multicoloured lights on the one in the downstairs living, then decided this morning that I didn’t like them so took all of the baubles and beads off this morning and replaced the lights with warm white ones before rebaubling it
