Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 14 Nov 2023, 06:50

Good morning.

Sunny, warm and forecast 26°. I'm home!

Although I can't complain about the weather during my trip...the only day it rained was the day of the Brum meet and Scotland had almost non stop sunshine. Not that cold and beautiful. :P

Today is going to be spent unpacking and admiring all the goodies I brought back.

Don's taking me out for lunch which will be a lengthy affair with two weeks of catching up to do.

And talking of catching up...I have 4 Masterchefs to watch on iPlayer.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

We have thick fog this morning, quite normal for this time of year. But that will soon go and we'll have another lovely warm day, with lots of sunshine.

Window cleaning this morning and then I might go and do an hour or so clearing up all the nasty plants we have in the field, that the tractor can't get to. The trees are too close together, so Jose Felipe can't get at them.

Then I think it will be a lazy afternoon ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody,

Turned off the security light at the back last night as it seemed to be on permanently from the wind blowing the branches of a tree and leaves.

It is 15C this morning with grey skies. Must have had some rain as there are some puddles. Taking some things to one of the charity shops and having some cushion covers made
from some curtains I no longer use. Then it will be some housework, phone calls and emails.

Janb, you mentioned window cleaning. I have some very good stuff. It is used by firms who fit new windows and is not sold in shops. You have to buy a carton of twelve
canisters but it is worth it. Works out at less than £4.00 each including postage.

Ally will you have to extend your wardrobe to store all the new clothes you have bought?

Have a good day everybody.

Wet and a bit blowy here. Breakfast out shortly, must get some washing on first. Lunch with D. Really pleased with our new shutters! :D

Morning all, it’s a pleasant morning here and not too cold. I have a varied list to work through, including walking down the pier to buy fish, get a sweater I have seen in a local shop for which I have a voucher, get a card and wrapping paper for Michael’s birthday present and sort out Edward’s nephew’s wedding present - I have both elements, just need to find a way to wrap them nicely. Also on my list is making an income tax return - I don’t pay tax as I have only a tiny income of my own but they sent out a fishing letter, and when I phoned up about it, I was told it would just be easier to do the return. It means setting up a MyGov account (Edward already has one but I don’t) so I’ll have to sit down one of the days and concentrate on it. *sigh*

Good morning.
Very still today after yesterdays high winds.
I have just dropped MrsC and her sister off at our son's house. Shortly it's off to M&S to get a few bits and bats.
Also need to pay the ransom demand from British Gas and put some more toner in the printer.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Wet

Asked on our local Fb groups about a wheelchair friendly taxi service. Had quite a few recommendations so rang a couple of them yesterday afternoon. The first one has just come out of hospital so won't be back at work for at least a month. The second one seemed interested and asked me to text the details so he could check his diary after work and promised to get back to me. No reply as yet. Two others have messaged me for details (both well recommended) so I'll be responding to them today. Fingers tightly crossed at least one of them has availability.

Had a reasonable night, only up twice. Interrupted sleep really doesn't agree with either of us, still feeling tired. Honestly if I'd known how difficult this would all be I might have made a different decision about the op, just got to hope it's all been worth it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Berlimey, it's hot in the sun

I had to come back inside, take off my black work jeans and my top and put on a sleeveless t-shirt and shorts  Well covered in anti-mozz, I looked and smelt odd  Work boots and shorts is not a good look

Did just over and hour and that was enough. I've made a difference even Grumpy could see ;) Was rather pleasant to get under the trees into the shade.

Hope you get the taxi sorted out Jen x

We won't be getting any rain for a few weeks yet, so the windows really needed doing.

Three loads of washing out first thing and now dry and put away.
