Morning everyone

A lovely sunny morning and the most fantastic sunrise this morning :Hi: Pinks, grey, reds, yellows and a little mist around too :D

Washing out, next load ready, almost.

Giving the heavy weeding a miss today, so will make a stew for tomorrow and prep tonight's dinner.

Safe journey Ally x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

I'm not doing any cards from now on - they're really difficult to find and also very expensive. Each card, plus postage would be almost 5 euros, Mrs Scrooge strikes!

Morning all, I think the worst of storm Debi has gone through. I never heard anything during the night, we are a bit sheltered by the building beside and behind us. Other parts of Ireland, especially the west, have been badly affected, it has affected transport and schools. It’s still windy out there and I think there will be more rain. The golf course is closed but Edward is going to wrap up and go for a walk anyway, while I go to my mobility class. After that, I’ll go to Lidl where they have jigsaws on offer today, although I think they will be too big for the space where I put them. You never know what else I might see ;) Then back to clean the bathroom.

I bought Christmas cards the other day but I think I have too many, postage is so expensive now that I trim the list a bit more every year. Buying them doesn’t mean I’m going to write them yet though

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Fun and games this morning, bought this https://www.boots.com/nilaqua-rinse-fre ... p-10219520
It arrived on Saturday so today decided it was operation hair wash day. Of course it's not as good as a proper shampoo, but my hair does feel cleaner and it's a lot nicer than the dry stuff which just leaves it looking like straw. I risked it and bought a pack of 3 from Amazon, hoping I won't need more, but we'll see.

Not much happening, need to make a few phone calls, will be looking into wheelchair friendly taxi services locally, if there are any that is. Fingers crossed, it has to be a big improvement on hospital transport. Also hoping to be able to use it for our planned family get together at San Clu in a couple of weeks time, it would be so much easier than having 14 peeps crowded into our little bunglalow.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

It's been wet here again! Met Em in town, for lunch and a wander round. Bought a new jumper. The big news is we're finally getting our shutters fitted! The front one is done and looks great, the patio doors are nearly done 8-) Not heard how the original fitter who had the stroke is doing, as this guy is unconnected to the company.

Hope Ally has a good journey home :) xx

Jen, those do look useful xx

Christmas cards??!! Eek!!  xx

Love to all xxx

Good afternoon.
Wild and windy here, has been all day.
it's been a hospital day. We have taken MrsC's Uncle Jim to Pontefract holiday for a scan. Turns out he has torn two tendons in his shoulder; this happened when he tried to jump over a fence a bit since. They missed it the first time he went to hospital. The usual procedure would be to operate as they are bad tears, but he's 87 and it is quite a big op. He doesn't want it anyway.
The other is our son in law who has (we think) diverticulitis. He has been doubled up with pain this week, really badly.
So he has gone to the GP's and they have referred him to the hospital. He is there and will be in overnight. His markers for inflammation are off the scale; worse than last time.
Hopefully he will get some proper treatment this time, because last time was a shambles.
