Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 10 Nov 2023, 06:59

Good morning.

The weather has been great since I got here last Saturday. Crisp, clear sunny days. :D

Today we're meeting our childhood friends, sisters Anne and Lynn, at the Hickety Pickety cafe in Lanark. :D

Lunch is booked for 12.30 then we're going for a stroll round The Falls of Clyde. :D

Down the local pub tonight with a load of friends. :P

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

Sun now coming through the clouds and quite pleasant out there.

Washing is out, so should dry and after the cleaning, I'll be heading out to rake over the flower beds. They're green  with weeds

We're giving the bar a miss today, been over-staying our visits the last couple of night

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morningeverybody,

The sun is out but it is still only 14C.
Went for the paper, then went to give a blood sample at one of the health centres. My appointment was at 8.10 a.m. But I went in early and only had to wait a few minutes.
I wasback home before 8.00 a,m. Have had my breakfast and I am now going to Chorley for some shopping. There is aan M & S Food Hall there so I may have a look at what
they have for Christmas. No mince pies..

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, after a bright sunny start it’s now misty.

Had a lovely walk with Bill first thing then it was back to get the noisy job of hoovering done before Joe started work. He works from home on Fridays so is at the desk in his room.

The Tesco delivery is due later this morning, I managed to get my Christmas delivery booked the other morning after getting up at 5.30am to get in an online queue, so that’s sorted. It’s been a week of online queues, there was a presale for Green Day tickets on Wednesday morning for next Summer. I’d rather not go to a stadium concert but needs must, they’re my favourite band

This cold is still lingering, I thought it was on it’s way out at the start of the week but no, it decided to fight back on Tuesday. I feel a bit better today though, really tired more than anything.

Al, I’ve just looked up The Falls of Clyde - how beautiful!

Have a good day all :D

Morning all, it is sunny and cold here. Edward is going to play golf and will take a lift with me when I go my mobility class. I’m expecting a parcel sometime during the day so will leave a note on the door when we go out. I got a phone call this morning that Michael’s golf shoes have arrived in the shop so I’ll walk down to collect them. We are supposed to be going dancing tonight, Edward fell yesterday and hurt his shoulder, so we’ll see how he gets on playing golf. We can always go to dancing for the sociable bit anyway. He really never came back to 100% after being ill but is getting good at pacing himself.

Morning all :D

Dull and over cast

Sounds like you're in for a fun day Ally.
Our garden is covered in palm leaves Jan, doubt they'll get cleared any time soon.
Snap Jo, I was in the Tesco Christmas slots queue at 5.30am the other day too.
Sensible for Edward to pace himself Osc.

Had a better night thank goodness, It's wash day, poor Ed's beginning to understand why I say housework is never ending. I like to change the sheets every week, but I've told him to do it every 2 weeks, he's got enough to do looking after me.

Expecting a Sainsbury's order later this afternoon, I did try to add a couple of items last night, but their payment service seemed to have gone down. Shouldn't be too much of a problem, looks like they are only short one item, luckily I did update it on Wednesday and Tesco will be delivering Monday. Luckily we got into a good routine with online food ordering throughout lock down, feels a lot like that right now.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Weird weather again

Sunshine, clouds, even a little drizzle, so the washing came inside ;)

Grumpy very kindly cleared up the flower beds for me, even though he got a little wet

Warming up next week, looking forward to that, might even get the bbq we've been promised ourselves.
