Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 01 Nov 2023, 06:33

Good morning.

Had a great flight over yesterday and was off the plane and outside getting a hug from Craig within 17 minutes.

Going into town this morning to M&S and a few other shops. :D

Craig's making dinner tonight. :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Stunning sunrise this morning although we also have a lot of cloud  Warmer though 8-)

Off to Castro Verde market soon, we like to get there early so we can at least park not too far away. Getting beg plugs for the garden, so that means a busy day, getting them all in

Breakfast when we get back, really can't eat this early.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Glad you had a good journey, Ally :) Enjoy the shops ;) xx

Have a good time at the market Jan :) xx

Cruiser it does look like we’ll have a wet day tomorrow, so that’s a good idea xx

Well I was halfway through this post when Mick shouted from the bathroom- no water!!! :? Just like last year when they were doing work under the railway bridge nearby, they’ve managed to cut us off! Luckily there was enough water in the kettle for us both to have a strip wash and clean our teeth, and I have borrowed Becky’s dry shampoo for my hair   Mick is going to come into town with me to meet my friend J, as then he can get a coffee  We need to go to the supermarket afterwards, as I’ll be in Birmingham tomorrow, and tonight I am out with the Pilates crew - hopefully the hot water will have come back on in time for me to get a shower :cute:

Have a good day everyone xxx

Hello and good morning all

Ally, that's good going - 17 mins! Enjoy the shopping today
Jan, have a lovely day at the market and hope you get the plants you want
Cruiser, enjoy the pootling day and good luck with whatever booking it is you're looking to make!
Kaz, eeek!!!! hopefully the water is restored today and you can have your shower - otherwise you'll be stinky sweaty Betty tomorrow       . Does the company have to put you up in a hotel if they can't get water back?

Office day for me today - the train was just so so busy, horrible. It's so nice when I can come in just that bit later, cheaper ticket and no crowding.
A very dull and dreary and wet day. We have yet another yellow weather warning for rain, effective this evening and for all of tomorrow. I think we've had about 5 in the past 2 weeks; whilst it's not been as bad as the warnings make out to be, everything is just so so wet. I've got two little hedgehogs in a hutch at the moment - they kept coming out during the day and I realised that the little hidey hole they'd made for themselves was just one soaking mess; must have been so cold for them. So nabbed them and will keep them in the hutch until the weekend post bonfire night and then release them. Chances are I'll have to nab again in a few weeks time to get them to a rescue for overwintering as they are just too small, but the longer they can be outside the better for them.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s pretty miserable here  However, I am off to a shopping centre - originally to get my Clinique face creams, but suddenly I have a list a mile long! Edward will be staying here as a man is coming to fix the gas fire and says he will be here between 10-2. Just need to make the bed then head out.

Morning all.
A nice morning, quite light and not raining.
MrsC and I have been notified that we are getting £250 each winter fuel payment, which is nice.
At 11 o'clock we are taking MrsC's Uncle into Ponte to get some money out of the atm. He's never done it for himself.
Kaz, I hope the water gets fixed soon.
We have also been told by British Gas that we are now on their on-line billing system. I would have preferred the old paper bill, which we have always paid on time.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Afternoon all :D :D

Wet

Hope your water comes back on soon Kaz. We were without water for over 56hrs just before Christmas last year, it was a nightmare. We were offered a £30 refund, but after many e-mails to and fro finally got the £90 as stated in their terms and conditions. I was really annoyed to have to push for it so hard, do wonder how many other people not so computer savvy were so lucky.
Glad you had a good flight Ally.

Having a quiet day, extra sore as I managed to knock my leg against the bed, not clever

Hope you all have a good day xx
