Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 17 Oct 2023, 06:01

Good morning.

We got home around 9 last night. Cannot recommend Granada highly enough. :cute:

A sunny 28° forecast. 8-)

I'll have a swim mid morning and apart from laundry I'll be lazing and reading.

I've managed to avoid the SCD results so I'm going to watch that and Saturday's show on iPlayer. :D

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

Windy, dry at the moment, but that will change.

We were woken up at 6.15 by the most torrential rain  Absolutely hammering down  And more to come   :Hi:

We'll pack this morning and I have ironing to do - think we'll be packing warmer clothes than we expected. I've actually put jeans on for the first time this morning  Leave about 2.00 and a steady run. Meeting friends tonight, different friends tomorrow and Thursday, then we'll head back.

Won't be taking the laptop, so won't be in touch.

Take care everyone, enjoy yourselves, whatever you're doing xx

Oh, going to ring Mitchell later - he saw the doc yesterday for his results.

Morning all :)

I expect a lazy day is just what's needed after your trip, Ally :) xx

I hope it doesn't rain too much, Jan :? xx

Good idea to be prepared, Cruiser 8-) xx

Looking like another bright but chilly day here again. I thought I was fine yesterday after my jabs, but just after I got home from town I had a bad ocular migraine - flashing lights and blobs before my eyes so I couldn't see for about half an hour, then a horrid spaced out ill feeling for the rest of the day. Feeling a bit fragile this morning, but well enough to just carry on as normal. It might not have had anything to do with the jabs, but I haven't had one for years, so...... :?: :cute:

Anyway, we're out for brunch, then popping to D's but have to be home by 2pm as our sofas are being taken away, ready for the new one coming tomorrow :D No news on the shutters, we really don't want to contact them just yet about the fitting, after the fitter having his stroke - it's a small local family firm and they will have other things to worry about just now. If we haven't heard in a week or so we will ask what's happening....... :?

Have a good day everyone xxx

Good morning all

Jan, safe drive and have fun. Fingers crossed for OK results for Mitch x
Ally, glad you had a lovely time in Grenada, enjoy the lazy home day and catching up on TV.
Cruiser, makes sense getting food in so you don't have to go out - hope the rain isn't as bad as forecast!
Kaz ((hugs)); hope you feel better as the day goes on. Exciting re the sofa's - I'm rather jealous. And hopefully the blind fitter makes a speedy recovery, but also that they find someone else to help you out x

A work from home day for me - had a busy day in the office yesterday and will be back in tomorrow and Thursday; so home today! Started off with a 7.30am call with a company down in Australia and now trying to sort things that our head office in the US messed up - sigh. Meant to stay dry today so I'm going to make as much of it as I can; mainly getting stuff to the compost bins at the allotment and cleaning up the hedgehog feeding stations so their food can stay dry.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s dull but dry and cool too. Edward has headed off to play golf, and I have a long list to get through this morning. Today is Edward’s birthday, I made him a cake yesterday and need to ice it this morning. Later in the afternoon, Miss Osc, Kellie, Michael and my sister will be here and we are having takeaway Chinese. Can’t believe he is 75, he was only 19 when we started going out together  In the meantime, I’ve have lots of stuff to do, I’m going away overnight on Thursday (meeting up with some of the 3D ladies in Brum) so getting ready for that. Also my brother is coming from Cork on Thursday evening to go to a funeral here on Friday so I need to leave the spare room ready. A quick trip to the post office too, to take out money and buy some sterling. Busy busy!

Kaz, those ocular migraines are scary, aren’t they, although a little less so when you know what it is and it will pass in about 30 minutes. It certainly does leave you feeling spaced out though.

Morning all :D

Sunny, what a difference a day makes.

We're off on a shopping jaunt later this morning. Need a few bits from The Range and then, as we'll be close by, we'll pop into the big Tesco. Haven't been there for absolutely ages so my ankle will probably protest. Expect it will remind me just why we don't go there these days!!

No other plans, will probably flop on the settee with my legs up and feeling very sorry for myself this afternoon

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning all.
Happy birthday to Edward, fingers crossed for Mitch.
Enjoy Tesco Jen, I hope your ankle holds up. Kaz, that sounds awful.
Bright sunny and cold here again.
Going for a paper soon and this afternoon I'll be cooking a cottage pie.
We've just had a squirrel on the back fence eating something, and we've had some birds scouting for food as well.
We want to feed them but don't wany any more visits from Mr Rat.
Have a good day everyone.

Osc, very scary the first few times until the specialist told me they were harmless. I thought I was having a stroke the first time :? Now it’s just unpleasant xx

Thanks Crommers, you too Ria xx

Just had sad news, Em’s mum passed away this morning. Expected, of course, but she was a lovely lady and I will miss her. She often used to join Em and I on our Monday jaunts, until she got too frail. 93, and until a few months ago looked 75 at most.
