Good morning Thursday

Postby meriad » 05 Oct 2023, 06:29

Merry morning all

A cool(ish) start to the day but definitely warmer than it should be; and it's meant to be quite warm over the weekend. I had to water the pots yesterday - everything is rather dry. Another unexpected work from home day for me today. My friends husband is a builder / handyman and he's helping me block off a door to a brick outhouse; he messaged yesterday afternoon saying he, at short notice, has the afternoon free today and did I want to sort the door - so here we are :Hi: Thankfully no client meetings so I checked with my manager and he was OK with it. Lots to prep and sort before Steve gets here, but so glad it's finally being done because then I can move things around in said outhouse and get it sorted and move a cupboard from inside to outside.

So a bit more of a 70 / 30 mix of pootle and work - but don't tell anyone at work

Safe travels this morning Ally x

have a lovely day all x

Morning Ria, morning everyone

Another lovely warm morning, out watering wearing shorts and t-shirt.

And now bruises, as I slipped down the bank, landed on both knees and thumb and upended both watering cans, so rather wet too   Blame my flip flops, who are more flop than flip

National holiday here and also Grumpy's birthday :Hi:

We're off out to lunch today, with Mitchell and a couple of friends. He normally goes to a transport cafe on the IC1, for what he reckons are the best chicken and chips ever. I rang Hugh last night and told him we'll meet them there and please keep it quiet, as a surprise for Mitch. We're taking the posh car, as Hughie is a big car fan :D

Back for a quiet - maybe - afternoon and evening.

Safe journey to Ally xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it is just about not raining but it is a temporary lull, as it is forecast to rain until early afternoon. Dance practice this morning then home to have our main meal early as Edward’s liver appointment is late afternoon - a few vibes would be welcome that they don’t find anything unpleasant. Our alarm is acting up and we’ve been testing it this morning, one of our motion sensors seems to be the problem, it is battery operated so we will have to get a new battery today. And the lull is over, it’s raining again

Morning all :D

Nice and sunny here 8-)

Hope all goes well with Edward's appointment Osc xx

My sister has had her op, had a message from my BIL to say she was due home yesterday so hoping she's back and settled. They've told her the initial recovery time is 6 weeks, I'm guessing she's very sore.

We're expecting two deliveries this morning. The StrideOn is one and the other one from NRS with the NHS equipment. They're both scheduled to arrived between 10-12, hoping they're both on the early side so we can still get out to M&S before the shelves empty.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning all.
Grey and cloudy here but not too cold.
We are off to Pontefract soon for a few bits, then calling at Lidl on the way back. Their Greek yoghurt (10% fat) is amazing.
Many vibes for Edward and safe travels to Ally.
Have a good day everyone.
