Well that was different. We just went for a paper and just up the road was a car, lying on it's side. The lady driver wasn't hurt, but I'm baffled at how she's managed that. Clipped the kerb whilst going too fast maybe is all I can think of. Two blokes were directing traffic until the police turned up. Also the Fire Brigade; no fire but I suppose someone has got to get the car the right way up again, and they probably have the tools or the manpower to do that.

Gosh Crommers. That's brought back a memory!

When my sis passed her test aged 17 (many years ago) she took four of us out in her boyfriend's car, somehow hit the kerb and it ended up on its side.

We were all ok but I was very shocked by how easily it happened.

I was actually having driving lessons at the time and I gave them up.

It was another 6 years before I fancied getting behind the wheel of another car.

(It's still my least favourite mode of transport. )

If that had happened to me at that age Ally, I don't think I'd be too keen on them either!

My cousin did that at the same age too, just weeks after passing her test. She was fine but she made quite a mess of her mother’s car.
