Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 26 Sep 2023, 06:00

Good morning.

Forecast to stay around 33/34° until the weekend. It feels lovely and fresh though. :D

I'll have a swim soon then getting ready to meet a friend in town at 11 for breakfast.

I've got an Amazon delivery this afternoon and TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Another warm day 8-)

Off down to the Algarve this morning, my last visit to see the eye doc. He'll also give me a prescription for new reading glasses, so I'm going to get a couple of cheapo pairs. We'll also have a wander around C & A and then Iceland.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all!

Looks like I timed Bill’s walk to perfection this morning, five minutes after we got home it started pouring down and is still going now. Not such good timing for the load of washing I put in the machine in that five minutes though

Bill had his annual jabs and his vet check up last night, it’s a six monthly check with him being on a repeat prescription and he’s doing beautifully! Which is less than can be said for our bank account after paying for it all. Must get an insurance claim in today

Football tonight with Joe, we’ll leave around 5 so we can get something to eat before going in.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all :D

Dull and cloudy.

Up early again, I have an appointment at the hairdresser. Tbh I'd completely forgot about it, but a reminder flagged up in outlook yesterday evening. Thought I'd been very organised, but obviously not. Oh well no harm done and my hair does need a good cut.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s grey and dreary here. I’ve plenty to occupy me today, not sure I want to do any of it  I’m expecting the postman to deliver a parcel, he rang me yesterday to ask if we were home - I said I had tried to catch him last week to say we would be away but hadn’t seen him. He said he would drop it in this morning but no sign of him yet. I’ve a wash in the machine which will have to be dried indoors, and towels already in the dryer. I’m considering whether or not to put on the winter duvet ……

Hello and good morning all

Ally, enjoy the day - love how you say 34 degrees is feeling fresh
Jan, hope you get everything you want down in the Algarve, safe drive there and back
Cruiser, enjoy the pootling
Jen, you remind me - I need to make an appointment to have my hair cut!
Jo, no rain here and hope it stays that way - I have some washing on the line. Cat beds that i washed yesterday afternoon and have had out all night. I feel your pain with the vet bills - it's extortionate, it really is. There's a government (I think it is) survey doing the rounds because it seems the prices are all sky rocketing - not sure if they're going to try standardise some costs? It's been such an expensive year for me with my cats; Jamie at the beginning with dental issues, then Monty who ended up diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and then Ava who is now diagnosed with IBD - all of them over 10 years old so excess is increased and I have to pay the first 20% of any claim

Office day for me today, probably working from home tomorrow and then office day again on Thursday. So a nice balance

have a lovely day all xx

Good morning.
Woke up to thunder and heavy rain this morning, though it looks to be brightening a little now.
MrsC has gone to tidy up our son's house with her sister, I need to get some money from the atm.
Have a good day everyone.

Ria, I filled that survey in a couple of weeks ago. Really hope something can be done.
We’re the same with Bill, with having to pay 20% of every claim. What annoys me too with our vet is that I fill in the claim form which leaves very little for them to do, submit it online to Petplan who then forward it to the vets and then I have to pay the vet £10 to complete their part. I had to make a claim for the eye vet last week so did the online form and then called them to make payment for their part of it and was told that they don’t charge (I honestly couldn’t remember as the last time I claimed for their fees was in May last year) and also that they’ve changed the system so that in future I can just call or email to say I want to make a claim and they’ll do all of the work.
