Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 23 Sep 2023, 05:39

Good morning.

Sneaking back up to 31° for the next four days. At least it's a nice heat and comfortable. 8-)

After a swim I'm lazing and reading. :D

Chinese takeaway tonight and SCD. :Hi:

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Late start for us - another rubbish nights sleep for me, then I nod off about 6.00

Sun is out and it's quite pleasant out there, think we might be getting near 30C 8-)

I have ironing to do, Grumpy is out painting. I will then paint all the ornamental light fittings we have on the walls. Bright orange, to match the trim around our windows :D Next door will be thinking we're putting the house up for sale, so much work going on

Down the bar this afternoon, another catch up with Mitchell and son in law. Oh, he has an appointment on Monday for his endoscopy, which is good news :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s sunny although not warm.

John’s gone to Parkrun, the lads are in Wales and it’s just me and Bill for the next hour. Once John’s back and ready we’ll go for our Saturday walk on Hednesford Hills.

Joe had a great last day at work yesterday. The department manager gave a speech about him and he was given a copy of it, it was lovely. Apparently he could only be faulted on his karaoke singing on nights out (I’ve seen a video, can’t argue with that). He had a card signed by over 30 people and there was a collection for him and he was amazed to find over £200
He’d had to train people to use the 3D printer this week and took the opportunity to make me something - a model of Old Trafford! It’s brilliant!

Hope Kaz is okay this morning x

Have a good day all x

Morning all, it’s a nice sunny one here although temperatures are dropping daily. We’re up a bit early as I am getting my hair done at 10am. When I come back, we’ll pack the few last bits, load the car and head off to Carlow - usual “going away in the car” syndrome, take everything but the kitchen sink! It’s not a long drive, usually about 1 hour 30 minutes, so we’ll get there for lunch. Hopefully we’ll get our room a bit early so that Edward can have a nap before this evening’s ball. We’re looking forward to seeing people we haven’t seen in a while, a decent meal and some dancing, with music being played by Chris Hopkins of the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool. Tomorrow is a competition day, we don’t compete but like to watch others doing so and supporting friends. Back on Monday.

Morning all :D

Bright sunshine 8-)

My sister finally saw the fracture clinic yesterday. Turns out the Irish doctor was absolutely right, she does need surgery. She's been told the dislocation was never going to back, she will need a right reverse total shoulder replacement. Not surprisingly she's a bit fed up and feels the last two weeks have been wasted when she should have been recuperating. At least there's a plan now, hoping she doesn't have to wait too long for the op.

I got badly bitten on my legs when we were sorting the garden. Bit worried as two of the bites are on the leg with my bad ankle. I'm using hydrocortisone cream and taking antihistamine tabs so hoping it calms down before Monday. Not sure if it will stop my op, hope not.

Todays the bed day, the mattress and pillow protectors are in the machine now. We'll be tackling the mattress turning after brekkie. It weighs a ton so not easy to move, but needs must and all that. Apart from that we won't be doing much else.

Strictly on the box tonight :D :D :D

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all :)

Jo, I’m absolutely fine, thank you for asking :) How lovely that Joe was so well thought of there :) xx

Jen that’s rotten news for your sister, I hope all goes well xx

It’s sunny here today, just slightly chilly in the shade. We’ve had breakfast out, a nice long walk around the dock basins, and have spent a very pleasant hour or so sitting in D’s garden - I knew putting my sandals away would bring back the good weather :P

Love to all xxx
